What do you think the show is trying to portray as Sadaf’s state of mind? She still has feelings for Ammar? First of all, I always felt like she never developed feelings for him but was trying to fulfil her role as a wife. Is she just being “stubborn” and not thinking things through. I definitely feel she is trying to move too quickly with Bilal. Are they trying to say that she still has feelings for Ammar?
The slap line was weird…why would she say that? Like what are they trying to say because they spent other parts saying how wrong that is. She almost hit him with a brick the last time he tried to slap her. Clearly that isn’t behaviour that approves of so why this line?
All of sudden it’s feeling like Sadaf is a fan outwardly gestures of proving, or rather “buying” love. She thought Ammar should have shown a fit of rage over her seeing Bilal. She asked Bilal why he didn’t try more or fake suicide. Sadaf never appreciated those things from Ammar before and she only married him to avoid Bilal, not because of his suicide attempt. I do think that she thought if this guy is willing to die for me then he must be the better choice than a guy that she thought was a manipulator. Bilal has never been about this and everything he did for their family was probably more for Mirza Saab. I don’t know if I’m giving the director too much credit but you could see the contrast between Bilal and Ammar’s characters when it shows them crying. Bilal was quietly crying to himself with a few tears trickling down his face, clearly with a lot of hurt on his face. Ammar’s scene followed right after with him sobbing uncontrollably, with no real emotions showing.
