Kaveri Kapur's acting debut

suchitra and @shekharkapur's daughter @kaverikapur is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with the sequel of the 1983 hit film ‘Masoom’ 2

it may be noted here that just recently Shekhar Kapur in one of his social media posts had hinted about his daughter Kaveri. The director shared, "And now as I sit and write ‘Masoom - the next generation’ .. I struggle with her role .. her part .. how do I create something deep enough for her as an actor .. so she doesn’t say to me.. ‘Daddy! That’s just so silly.' The original 'Masoom', directed by Shekhar Kapur and released in 1983, is considered a classic in Indian cinema.

Gosh...why use again & again classics by concocting an unnecessary 'sequel'. Make an independent, original, new script, for cinema's sake, and give the movie for your daughter also a different name!

agree...Masoom is one of the finest films of Shabana, Naseer n Shekhar Kapur. evokes so many emotions even now wen we watch it. hope not they spoil it by making a dud in the name of sequel

Kaveri sings very well i heard. She has some international degree in music.

She wanted to make some music album collaborating with international stars etc. but guess it didn't work.

Her mom also sings quite well.
