Anupama as a Character

I really dont know whoever watches Anupama.

I mean this Anupama character is pretty irritating and interfering.

She lectures like stupid, but her character already had lost all credibility.

She is full of self-obsession, but delivers faulty wisdom here and there.

Anyone will think twice before marrying off their children into her family, so then where is Prem's family wrong?

Not only her two marriage, her kids, even her Sautan's marriage did not go well, lol

I am not saying divorces are bad, but somehow if its happening again and again, then you are not well fit with the idea of marriage, otherwise it will become a joke. They are somehow portraying modern society in the wrong way.

And she is extremely problematic.

Vanraj did not keep coming to her house, but she stomps again and again into his house.

Also When She divorced Anuj, she came back for her adopted daughter, but never cared for that new woman of Anuj's life, definitely that woman's love life will hamper, that idiot woman Anupama hardly cares.

Also the writers are pretty bad.

I mean they try to show Anupama superior and divine one, but some of these plots have very shit logic.

I mean she really cares a lot less about her kids,

Married off her only obedient kid (Samar) so hastily to prove her ego, that kid suffered with that bad woman.

Toshu and Pakhi are baddies but Anupama never let them to become better, always lecture, always comparing, always taunting.

She is basically that paroswali bua, but those buas dont create disaster in own house, Anupama did it in her own house.

And which woman on earth adopts a kid after having three kids of her own? And loves that kid over own ones? This is not even realistic.

"""She claims to be modern parent, and fair one, but to speak on behalf of self or her adoptive daughter, she berates her own daughter's issue (divorce) in front of some strangers (whose topic was literally dragged unnecessarily) """

She berates her own daughter (who was unrelated to the marriage proposal) in front of strangers outside, but Her daughter cant berate her favorite adopted daughter (who was related to the marriage proposal) inside the house, lol.

i mean she is clearly an abusive mother too, towards Toshu and Pakhi. Not just Toshu and Pakhi are bad kids, Anupama is full of favoritism.

She kept interfering into her adult kids life again and again unnecessarily, not for the betterment, but to make them realize, she is right and they are wrong, she is quite a psycho about her ego issues. But after interfering what? are their lives got better?? lol, a lot worser actually, now it seems like they did not get better because Anupama's extreme interference in their lives, did not let them life lessons on their own, actually the became more adamant to stay unchanged.

also Anupama interfered into his Ex-husband's life, even into his new marriage life with Kavya,
Technically she is a toxic ex-wife.

Talks about self respect, but stays in her first husband's house, also the house members have to accept her adopted child too, because she wishes to, otherwise they will be depicted bad.

Honestly Baa is a very good saas of her generation, a lot of time she took side of Anupama over Vanraj. but I dont know what kind of delusional mahan kalpanik saas Anupama wants which in reality nowhere exists.

The writers did a mistake at first, modern woman does not compulsorily divorce,

I mean they could keep her married to vanraj and teach both Kavya and Vanraj lessons.

Like Vanraj coming under her heel.

But they choose romance track for Anupama with some other guy, rushed for that track. technically Vanraj ended up well leaving her, Lol.

Okay. but that stuff kind of encouraged Kavya type woman a lot, I mean you can get anything and get away, no matter how bad it is. She actually got what she had wanted, Vanraj

Later Anuj, the boring shit ass character,

Like this character only exist to reality just to hail "Anupama, Anupama, Anupama"

I know Anupama had a lot of fans, also I had watched in the beginning too.

But so far the lead character is heavily irritating.

I disliked Vanraj in the beginning, but if Anupama in her full form is like what she is now. Then I will say Vanraj is lucky to not have her.

She is a self obsessed walking talking Queen bee or lecture ATM.

Anupama is a loser in every sense of the word. Not just her, Anuj is also a loser.

Vanraj : It was Vanraj's grand mother who had chosen Anupama to be his bride. Vanraj had always felt that Anupama was not up to his standards. Vanraj had taken advantage of Anupama's ignorance and cheated her. She was more of a slave than a partner who had never stood for her rights. #AnuRaj gave birth to 3 defective products (Toshu, Samar and Pakhi) who turned out to be worthless, useless, never took their career seriously. Only Samar turned out to be the decent child despite all the pathetic upbringing of kids by #AnuRaj. But he was so blind in the worship of his mother that he never noticed Anupama's flaws. The divorce to Vanraj itself was flawed thanks to that stupid dialogue of Anupama. Vanraj offered a stupid reason for his EMA with Kavya telling that "Anupama does not know to say SORRY properly. He wanted to be a well educated girl as his wife. Also, Anupama cannot speak proper English". Vanraj's concerns were genuine (I am not supporting him. Rather I would blame him for restricting her to kitchen and not allowing her to explore the outside world). She was shamelessly staying with Vanraj and his current wife Kavya after the divorce. Even worse, was cooking in the "Phatichar Leela Cafe" which closed down soon. Anupama had become a doormat to the "Sadakchaap Shah's".

I would blame Hasmukh as well for standing muted to the humiliation and abuse of Anupama by his wife Leela and also not allowing Anupama to complete her education. (She got married at the age of 19).

She had turned old Kinjal to "Anupama 2.0". I recall in 1 of the episodes when Kinjal was not able to manage the household chores. Then professor Anupama came up with a stupid comparison of "Baa vs Boss".

Anuj : Anuj had met Anupama in the college reunion party (Batch of 1995) after 26 years. His blind obsession for Anupama failed to prevent Malavika aka Mukku from walking into Vanraj's vicious trap (Mukku realized her mistake afterwards and fired the trio of Vanraj, Toshu and Pakhi). Anuj had proved himself to be a senseless and brainless business tycoon by offering a business partnership worth crores to Anupama without looking at her educational qualification by just listening to "How would she recruit house wives to the restaurant for cooking" (This project was dumped by Anupama just like she had dumped Anuj on the day of car accident instead of accepting her faults) and by firing Kavya even though she spoke the truth about Anupama. After marrying Anupama, Anuj gifts her the KE, KM and made her the "Signing Authority of KE" even though she did not deserve it. She was an empowered woman after marrying Anuj and had all the resources to complete her education and build a career for herself. But she pandered to the nonsense of the "Sadakchaap and Pathichar Bikharis of Shah family" and kept running to them for trivial issues.

Vanraj and Kavya go to Delhi for accepting a job offer and the SH is in renovation. The members of Shah family go to "Kapadia Dharamshala" for staying there. Anupama misses an important dance function of CA's school to prepare Khichdi for Leela. Naturally, Anuj was disappointed with Anupama and refused to take the tiffin packed by Anupama the next day. But Anupama did not understand why Anuj was upset with her. Hasmukh goes missing and Leela badmouths, humiliates and insults Anuj despite him helping the Shah Family (Rather I would say, being a servant of Shah Family) multiple times. Anuj had finally lost his patience with the Shah family for their insults, taunts and abuses and decides that he would not interfere with their problems, rather he would look after his business, Anupama and CA. Anuj had to plead with Anupama to focus and prioritize him and Aadhya. On the day of car accident, Anuj had finally lost his patience with Anupama. But I would blame Anuj for messing up with his life by marrying Anupama (Anupama was never the perfect choice to be Anuj's wife and was always a red flag). Anuj and Anupama should not have got married.

Rakhi Ji (Rakhi Dave) was the only empowered woman in this show. This show should have shown the struggles of Rakhi Ji right from the betrayal by her husband Pramod, how she emerged strong after the betrayal and how she rose to the position where she was.

Anupama never cared for any 1 who did good to her. She gave the status of her mother to the toxic Leela who never missed any chance to humiliate and abuse Anupama. Even though she adopted CA after marrying Anuj, she could never defend her from the attacks of her filthy Shah family. Also, what was the necessity for her to adopt Aadhya despite having 3 children from her previous wedding? (Anupama had the option of saying NO to adoption. It was this 1 liner "Main sab kar loongi" that had ruined the wedding between Anuj and Anupama).

Please feel free to add any points that I had missed.

Anupama koi bechari nahin thi,

Look, Her father in law was extremely good person, and her mother-in-law was kind of sweet-bitter-tangy-spicy person to Anupama, not an evil one, even in early episodes , her mother-in-law took side of Anupama, not Vanraj-Kavya side.
What more do you expect from a Indian mother-in-law? Baa is lot better than average mother-in-law's of India. Even Anupama's sister-in-law was good to her a lot. Being housewife is not a servant, Anupama was meek in beginning because she wanted her life like that in the beginning, its her choice, She should have taken her study and career seriously after marriage, She could, she had a very supportive father-in-law. But she wanted to be that meek person, its her choice, not all house-wives are like that, my dad gets afraid of my housewife mom, if he comes home late after 10 pm. this show gave a lot wrong ideas about House-wives, they are not that weak. Toshu and Pakhi were not good kids, is it only their fault??? Anupama also responsible for that. Do kids not afraid of their mother and obey, if she is housewife??? lol. Anupama failed to raise her kids well, its her and vanraj's fault, but Anupama spent more time with her kids than Vanraj. even after going to Anuj's house, she hardly tried to keep Anuj's brother's family or mother altogether. Like Anuj is the only thing she got married to, not related to those peoples.

yes Vanraj was mean to her, but She could give him a chance to redemption, but I am not blaming her for the divorce, Vanraj was pretty harsh person. But It looks like Anupama never left that marriage, she keeps coming back to shah house comically. thats the issue, You had three kids with that man, also if you divorcing the marriage then not only the husband becomes your ex , so as the other in-laws, so if you want to divorce then you should calculate these stuffs before divorce.

Vanraj made meek Anupama's life hell, thats why Psycho Anupama emerged and she kind of made hell everyone's life. lol

Whilst I agree with your points on Anupamaa, I completely disagree with your opinions on Baa and Bapuji. Baa is one of the worst mother in law’s one could ask for. She is a vile, disgusting, hateful human who treats everyone like trash. Bapuji is not a good person at all nor is he supportive. He is a crafty, conniving codger who only used Anupamaa for his benefit, to slave for his worthless clan. He does not care about Anupamaa at all. If he did then why would he conveniently escape whenever she’d be humiliated by the so called sweet bitter Baa and Vanraj? Why would he never stand up for her? Because she is his unpaid maid who he has successfully exploited for many years whilst pretending to be the kind caring Bapuji in front of her.

Just one correction - Anupama na kabhi bechari thi, na hai na kabhi hogi, hamesha se pagal psycho aur Andhbhakt thi Baa Bapuji aur bachchon ke Pita ki, I don’t feel bad about anything that she has been thru because she was blinded by choice and not because of any Majboori. And what she is now is just dangerous to the society in general, aisi auratein 2-4 agar sach mein ho jaye to duniya ka vinash atee sheeghra nischit hai 😂

I agree with the first and last line the most 😂
