How come Sonu didn’t raise this concern when he himself got it ? Sorry but he’s coming across as petty and bitter for some reason.

Arijit totally deserves it. Not only a great singer, he’s actually a good and humble human being as well.

As for Kishore Da, he was/ his voice is much above and beyond any award.

but also where his competitors were banned by music industry ,,,,, Sonu nigam was banned in 2013 for his struggle for singers royalty many of sonu songs were dubbed by other singers ...... and atif aslam was banned in 2016 ...one atif song was later dubbed by arijit bara pachtowgay etc due to bann on atif..... so no competition era is not to be proud of .... 60s , 90s 2000s was full of competition .....

Sonu got it very late ...in 2022 Sonu refused to accept the award at first ....later award community requested him to take it ...... he should have got it in 2000s time ....how come adnan sami won the padma award before sonu nigam .....also kumar sanu and udit narayan got it very late 20 years after career ......for arijit he was given everything very quickly .... while kishore kumar was never given .... rafi didnt got padama bhushan .......etc etc

Congrats to him. Well deserved. He is naturally gifted and stays away from trouble.

Unpopular opinion - highly overrated singer. They used to be so many other better singles like Mohit chauhan etc,. Never found him good.

Sonu got his award in 2022. Today he raised issues for Kishore, Shreya. Both were deserving and today’s statements held true even in 2022. However, he still did not mention this back in 2022 when he was getting it. Reeks of hypocrisy and jealousy and pettiness. Sorry.

whatever it could be arijit was not a deserving canditdate as of now .... he has a long way to go even career wise its just 10 years of him..... Sonu already has raised wrongly given award issues time to time ,,,,,even when he won zee cine award for suraj huwa madham in 2001 he gave a big speech on how awards are not given on merit ...... Sonu also refused to take award in 1998 for sandese ate hain because roop kumar rathod was not given along side him .....
