I don’t want this to become a religious debate but the Quran also states that it is very difficult to be just between all wives and justice is required. It isn’t something that is encouraged and quite honestly it came at a time when men had multiple wives and it limited it to 4. Women were more financially dependent on men then. Ammar is a big baby who can’t show responsibility for one wife, how can he handle two? I don’t think this show is trying to show Ammar in the right.Originally posted by: wildflower9
the only condition for polygamy mentioned in Quran is to maintain justice between your wives. there is no other condition. (Quran 4:3)
when quran allows polygamy, it doesn't matter if monogamy is best or not.
bring me the Quran ayah which mentioned the conditions you described above. there isn't any.
you talked about prophet Ibrahim, what will you say about prophet Sulaiman? how many wives did he have? do you know?
the simple thing is Quran allows polygamy without any condition. men can have their own reasons for polygamy but there is no restriction in Quran.
