bring me the Quran ayah which mentioned the conditions you described above. there isn't any.

you talked about prophet Ibrahim, what will you say about prophet Sulaiman? how many wives did he have? do you know?

the simple thing is Quran allows polygamy without any condition. men can have their own reasons for polygamy but there is no restriction in Quran.

I don’t want this to become a religious debate but the Quran also states that it is very difficult to be just between all wives and justice is required. It isn’t something that is encouraged and quite honestly it came at a time when men had multiple wives and it limited it to 4. Women were more financially dependent on men then. Ammar is a big baby who can’t show responsibility for one wife, how can he handle two? I don’t think this show is trying to show Ammar in the right.

there is a reason KRQ didn't show a physical relation between ammar and dania. later, ammar showed his intention to marry her. hence he was able to show sadaf's mother and bilal abdullah vouching for ammarsmiley36

Whether they were fully intimate or not doesn’t even matter. They were spending inappropriate amounts of time alone and physically close. It is cheating.

Sadaf’s mom and especially Bilal don’t know the extent of everything that Ammar has put Sadaf through. Sadaf’s mom surprised me, I didn’t think she would just dismiss Ammar’s bad behaviour. I understand her not wanting Sadaf to rush into anything but her approach bothered me. Bilal, I know has changed but I think there is still some misogyny left in him. He truly believes that a man won’t forgive a cheating woman because of what he’s seen with his dad. I also think a lot of his motivation stems from him not being convinced that Sadaf is done with Ammar and believing she’s just vulnerable. He also insinuated it’s a tit for tat thing. He clearly doesn’t want to be the reason behind ending a marriage. The problem is that instead of relating Ammar to his dad and Sadaf to his mom, he should be thinking of it the other way around. Sadaf is like his dad who was cheated on. Clearly it’s misogyny that’s making him look at things the other way around. I get it though, and it makes sense for his character. I just hope he realizes he’s wrong in the end.

ploygamy was a different debate. it was not necessarily about ammar.

yes i agree islam limited it to 4 when men in arab used to have hundreds of wives.

but men in middle east still have multiple wives. polygamy culture is still very much present there.

even in south east asia 2 wives are not very rare. we have seen and heard about men with two wives. but it is not very common because socioeconomic status doesn't allow them to.

as far as ammar and sadaf are concerned, they are not being shown in positive light for cheating and dating etc. but one thing is for sure, 2nd marriage isn't a sin itself whatever the situation is. this is the reason KRQ showed farzana and bilal asking sadaf to forgive ammar.

KRQ claims he gets scripts from Allah and he is just a guardian. that's why it made me think from religious point of view. the only reason KRQ made his hero bilal vouch for ammar is 2nd marriage. ammar didn't commit zina which is a major sin. in that case he could not be forgiven. this is what KRQ thinks.

@bold: i agree it was cheating but it was not zina i.e. one of the gravest sins.

yes ammar's behavior was bad but sadaf has also insulted him enough in return and now dania is going to give him well-deserved karma too smiley36

and i think whatever bilal is thinking about sadaf is right. i mean she just received the divorce papers and now she is behaving this way. anyone would see it as a post traumatic stress disorder smiley24

more than my own opinion, i am trying to interpret KRQ's mind. what is he showing and why is he showing.

my interpretation can be right or wrong. i will try to understand it more after watching the upcoming episodes. i want to see what would he do to each character. karma, redemption, punishment whatever. i'm looking forward to it. smiley14

I dont find the script weak I am sorry.. Yes there are flaws and loopholes but cringe characters do exist in our society..may be the entertainment value is not there but I dont think the script is weak.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and are free to think the script is weak but no reason to feel sad about the threads we’ve gone through. We’ve all discussed the shortcomings of this but there’s obviously something about it that’s keeping us hooked.

I hear you. His mentality kind of scares me about the direction he’s going to take this. He acknowledged that Ammar is a negative character in his interview so hopefully that means no end game for Ammar and Sadaf. For me, that would ruin the story.
