@bold this for sure …after realising that she was her husband’s second choice or even second wife, she became very insecure …her acceptance of Armaan could also have been some kind of insurance to cement her place in the family and in Madhav’s life…maybe not a conscious, scheming type of thing but likely subconscious …also a way to show Madhav how much better than him she was ..and to Kaveri too ..to make her feel indebted and grateful to her that she had quietly accepted things without making a public spectacle …Kaveri’s own mistreatment of Armaan could have also been some sort of reverse psychology …you know to make Vidya feel secure the her son would be the heir ..that Armaan would always remain the outsider and so on ..but tbh in all this, I would blame Madhav the most ..the man did not have the balls to stand up for his child ever ..neither then nor now …he did not do for Armaan what he did for Abhira …which is a tragedy really
This is 100% true! Although, they did show scenes with Armaan 1.0 where he feels Vidya loves him but always with a difference especially when it came to Rohit, no?
Also I think wanting to be perennially accepted by everyone as their favourite and first choice has been Vidya's core character.. she took offense to even KP in one instance, right? And of course Madhav!

Arman himself doesn’t fully understand what he’s doing. His love for her keeps pulling him back, never letting him truly stay away, but that “witch” clouding his mind pushes him to make the wrong choices. Yes, what he did was WRONG, but that doesn’t make him entirely bad. He’s been there for her when no one else was.OK
. I couldn’t bring myself to post it on X, so here it is.
