Makers are going no where with this show. The 1st episode of Anupama was aired on 13th July 2020. The objective of this show was to show "Women Empowerment". But nothing of that sort has happened so far in the show.
The makers have taken an unnecessary leap.
Leap 1 : Anuj marries Anupama and gifts the KE, KM and makes her the signing authority of KE. But Anupama not being interested in becoming well educated and making a career for herself always pokes her nose in the affairs of Shah Family. Anuj lashes out at Anupama for her attitude of "Taking her married life for granted". Even though CA / Aadhya is responsible for the car accident whatever Anuj spoke on the day of accident is also true. He just stated the facts. Anupama, instead of accepting her faults and promising to work on her negatives, tears her family pic and more shockingly breaks her wedding with Anuj. Anupama leaves Aadhya and Anuj alone. The show takes a 5 year leap.
Leap 2 : Anupama is seen in US. I do not understand how she went to US without even taking English tuitions online. Usually when some 1 goes to US, there will be a VISA interview. But the makers had not shown Anupama attending the VISA interview. And her dream of going to US is sponsored by Devika. She does not call Devika after reaching US. She does not know what to do when her passport is snatched away by the thieves there. Anupama gets a job at S&C. She destroys the lives of Anuj, Sruthi and Aadhya by shamelessly romancing with Anuj under Sruthi's nose. Anupama prepares her signature dish "Undhiyo Biryani" but the food critic finds a cockroach in her signature dish. Anupama humiliates Sruthi publicly for doing the right thing. This is the reason why Aadhya hated Anupama. Anuj loses his memory in a fatal accident. Before Anuj loses his memory, Dimpy and Titu get married. Anuj's KE is snatched away by the evil witches Bharka and Ankush. The show takes a leap of 6 months.
Leap 3 : Anupama runs an old age home by the name "Asha Bhavan" taking care of the elderly. The Shah's are thrown out of their house by the builder and Anupama gives them shelter in the "Asha Bhavan". Meenakshi is introduced as Dolly's daughter. Dolly and Sagar elope and get married. Anuj and Anupama become the laughing stock by planning to get married again. Ankush mixes something in Anuj's coffee causing his vision to get blurred. After a fight, Ankush throws Anuj from a cliff leaving him to die. In "Asha Bhavan" Dimpy and Aadhya pick up a fight where Dimpy falls into a fire losing her life after suffering major burns. Aadhya is blamed by Dolly for Dimpy's death and she runs away from Ahmedabad. The show again takes a leap of 15 years.
Leap 4 : All the old characters exit, Pari, Ansh, Ishaani and Mahi are shown as grown up adults. Aadhya is renamed as Rahi. She and Mahi both fall for Prem leading to a love triangle. Prem confesses his love for Rahi during his engagement with Mahi. Prem is introduced as the son of "Parag Kothari".
Aadhya / Rahi will become Anupama 2.0 if she gets married to Kothari family. Anupama had not changed in any of the leaps. She is a hypocrite who thinks that she is an epitome of perfection and does not need to change. Instead of showing this attitude of Anupama, it is better that they end this show.
