He also said, "we're waiting on Jasprit Bumrah's fitness and will know his status in early February from BCCI's medical team".

Rohit Sharma said, "We're not sure of Jasprit Bumrah at this stage, so we wanted someone who can take up that role. We picked Arshdeep Singh."

He also said "We have picked Yashasvi Jaiswal based on what he has done in the last 6-8 months - he has not played a single ODI but we have picked him because of the potential he has got".

Karun bechara fir reh gya..kohli ki jga ni bnti although he can entertain the crowd with his antics.

I'm still not happy with squad..

KL rahul / jadeja / Rohit sharma / virat kohli / Gill.. When was the last time these guys performed well..

But according to current situation

I will always trust Pandya, Jaddu and Virat over the whole sqaud to save us in ICC tournament.

Whenever things go south and we have a very important match, I will trust these 3 to make us or make us go closer to the target over anyone else.

Also I think Jadeja won't be the 1st choice, he won't will be there in playing 11.

Also Rohit doesn't know how to use Jadeja nicely.

tbh for me it makes me think they are not sure of Hardik or Bumrah to be fit throughout especially bumrah warna he was the top contender for VC spot. Also dunno why hardik is completely removed from captaincy consideration. All those memes of MI players being VC and Captain and playing under Hardik in IPL is coming true

I remember GG crying and accusing how after a lose a Vice Captain was removed when was VC and Dhoni was the Captain.

Now he himself removed Pandya the VC even when we won WCT20.

The double standards and hypocrisy he has been showing is super annoying.

Yes Iyer is better to be made VC, he has experience of Captaincy of few years and also won IPL.
