this is an ensemble led by maya. it is sadaf's story and her journey we are seeing. ammar and bilal are literally options a and b sadaf chooses between and are equal opportunity cktrs.

bilal has no friends, no family. his career as a hotelier and industry titan gets no airtime. his backstory and trauma is not explored at all and only used as a plot device to further sadaf's arc. any conversation bilal has with humsha is about sadaf. he has no tracks of his own independent of sadaf. that is not how central protagonists are written.

haseeb has padded wahaj's screentime by adding all those filler scenes of BA sulking, soch-ing, brooding - kabhi khambe se latakte huey, while fondling glasses and lamps, leaning against cars, walls and windows, sitting in bed, lying in various sofas, sitting by the pool, in the garden, on the table, on a chair. paiano bajate huey. stumbling and strolling down the stairs and hallways. then we have the hero entry and power walks.

forget the marketing. take out the filler scenes and beauty shotsm and think bilal is played by mikaal. nothing else is changed in the writing and filming. no one will even question for a second that bilal is not the central protagonist. if the writing doesn't have you as the central protagonist, no amount of filler scenes and hero entries and fake marketing will make you the central cktr.

Wahaj is the central protagonist same way Sunny Deol was central protagonist in Darr

Wahaj is the central protagonist same way Shahid was central protagonist in Padmavat

Wahaj is the central protagonist same way Faris Shafi was central protagonist in Mann Jali

Being a good guy who gets the girl is not what is meant by central protagonist from a narrative perspective

i understand what you said. another character can be more signficant to the story but the main protagonist is more likeable (in terms of audience support).

Wahaj was also great in the graveyard scene. If you remove Sadaf, Bilal Abdullah could have been an interesting character on its own but alas we have been cheated and his backstory completely dropped.

i meant the opposite another character can be more likeable, even the one who gets the girl, but the main protagonist is the one who drives the story, whose character transformation and journey we see, the one whom the story is centered around. that main protagonist can be male, female, good or bad.

here it seems ammar is driving the story forward.

i believe ammar and bilal are equal footing characters and bilal is the main lead only because he is a white character.

that was also a filler scene to pad up wahaj's ss and was not in the script. i am willing to bet $100 on it. i thought bilal's attachment to his father or how staying in Karachi for long triggers his trauma will pay some important part in the story later. but nada. An alternative universe version of sunn mere dil could have been like an imtiaz ali script which tells the story of a complex emotionally troubled male lead like a Tamasha or Rockstar. How he fell in love, how his traumas prevented him from recognizing love or confessing his love in time, how his trauma was healed....

saad wasn't toxic and was selfless. junaid wasn't toxic and was understanding and supportive. wahaj's cktr in bikhray moti was pure and selfless. hamza, murtasim and riz were grey-shaded. otherwise wahaj plays a lot of these bechara selfless pure devotional lover types in many dramas.

an actor's gauge is not whether cktr is pure or not. but which cktr gives him most margin to perform. where he gets to show maximum range and versatility. where he gets to show nuance and complexity. where the story centers around him. if a negative cktr allows wahaj all this, it could become my favorite cktr. just look at heath ledger or joaquin phoenix in joker.

Now hira also deleted posts with wahaj? The offscreen drama usama and hira provided in last two weeks will have more trps than their characters in smd

galaxy lollywood mentioned this week about usama deleting posts and disowning the show in their review . So next week they will mention hira? Hira has been desperately posting pics with wahaj to get main lead role with him. The last post with wahaj I remember she even tagged kadwani, asad Qureshi, 7th sky and geo. No one has given like or comment on that. It actually means she got main lead role with wahaj or it failed and she didn’t get main lead role opposite wahaj.

It’s sunnmeredil day or bilal Abdullah ka gussa day I really liked how he got angry. Sadaf needs reality check from him how to be professional and ammar needs a kick from bilal.

Bilal should tell ammar that if he has any problem with him then he can resign his company and get work in another one. But he won’t resign because he can never get gm post in his wildest dreams in another company

IDK why every reviewer is talking about Usama deleting posts...even Hassan from SH also said the same thing...
