That’s 100% not true. Smart, independent, educated women across all cultures sometimes have trouble leaving abusive marriages. In fact there have been stories of women killed in abusive relationships even when they had supportive families. This isn’t just desi women either. It usually isn’t about love but being gaslit and manipulated by the other person. Culture here may play a part where women are expected to do everything possible to save a marriage. Sadaf should leave but some women do struggle with the decision. It’s unfortunate but it happens.
Agreed about the lead thing…especially the last 7-8 episodes. There’s barely been any Wahaj.
There are shows that are written to depict the reality of abuse, rape, bad advice by mothers, victims staying with abusers, etc. But their treatment and execution makes it clear whether these elements are going to be seriously and sensitively examined or are there for sensationalization purposes. Because here the writer is KRQ, everyone just assumes the objective is to sensationalize. Like when Ammar hits Sadaf, the scene cuts to Bilal waking up in worry. The emphasis became less about how a woman was abused and her reaction and more about wah kya romance or soulmate connection hai ke hero ko uske dard ka ehsaas hogaya. The execution is honestly so ott at times that it takes away from the seriousness of the issue. Usama wallowing in his insecurities is shot in such a way that it becomes about dania in flimsy nightgowns plying him excessively with alcohol. A third aspect is consistency with cktr. Ammar I feel is consistent with what he was before. He was always rondu, insecure and even accused Sadaf of selling herself for 8 crore in e8. But I have also said myself here that Sadaf and her mother are not entirely acting in keeping with the cktrs we were shown before.
He is just there for the sake of views since there is no significant importance of him in this track
