Maya 'was' popular.. but never 'extremely'. She was in the same category as Hiba and Durre are now and sorry to say Hiba and Durre albeit being popular are not the 'rulers' of PTV. If you ask anyone about the top 5 actresses of PTV now a days, I would be surprised if anybody would mention Hiba and Durre despite having hits on their name. So yes as I said, Maya was on the radar during that time like many actresses are now and she might have enjoyed the glory for some time (as Durre did after IM) but 2015 to 2019 as 'Maya Ali's' time is a bit far fetched as 2024 does not belong to Durre despite IM being a hit. At that time, the biggest PTV stars were Mahira, Sanam Saeed, Sanam Baloch, Ayeza Khan, Saba Qamar and then maybe Sajal, Mawra, Maya and others would come into the picture.

Even on this forum, at that time also, people used to fight over the above five names that who is the biggest star or better actor. Sajal had also started to get the attention and started getting critical appreciation. Maya Ali was rarely or should I say never mentioned.

And about top 5 or top 15 movies. Pakistan has hardly produced worth mentioning movies. 15 movies are a lot.

About Man mayal, as I said, it was a similar hit like Jafaa is a hit now. In the beginning, it was praised, towards the end it was only bashed. And more than 'Mannu' it was Jeena and her 'maiaray tou maan baap bhi nahin hain' took the lime light. So once again, as I mentioned, Yes Maya has hits on her name but it was never like 'OMG Maya Ali' for the general public.

About Zindagi TV telecasting Aunn Zara first to be a proof of 'Maya's alleged massive success', Aunn Zara was telecasted on A Plus Entertainment, I can not even call it a hit. It was average.

About Durre, Khaie ko tou main bhool hi gayee. So yes, 2024 still does not belong to Durre despite Khaie and IM both being hits.

Aunn Zara was a cult classic in later years also jeena was an annoying character imo in MM

I don't have the energy to dwell on this toxicity. Some of them extras coming out of the woodwork to give daleel. If getting someone to admit something gives you dopamine. Here it is.

Yes, she's the best of the best who "ruled" 2015-2020.

Her acting is all good in SMD. The neutrals and Yumhaj fans are bitter haters.

I dropped Dunyapur after some 5 to 6 episodes cause it bored me. Based on the initial epis of both shows, I would say Farrar> Dp. Too many side characters in Dp, supporting cast easily overshadowed main leads, seemed another village politics drama with enemies to lovers trope. Farrar lives up to its crime genre theme, intrigue value is there, cast are doing a good job barring Mamya...
