Din't liked it back then . But then , not meant for kids in first place despite antagonist acting kiddish .

Ye, a lot of bad blood, this movie generated...and even 31 year later, this Sunny Deol thing gets mentioned (unnecessarily, imo, btw.)

I like when SRK does unusual things

Full of Srk's unbearable torturous hamming and superficial gimmicky surface level acting.

Aamir, the original choice, would have done much better and would have added the much needed depth & layers to the character going by his brilliant portrayals of dark roles in Raakh (was nominated for National award) and Earth-1947.

Also the very popular & hugely celebrated onscreen pure romantic couple of Aamir Khan & Juhi Chawla post QSQT and HHRPK, Darr would have been such a treat for the cinegoers to watch these two in such shockingly different roles.

I still wonder why SRK’s performance here is considered iconic because he was cringe and unbearable and so was Juhi. His acting was so bad that neither he looked like a psycho love nor did he look like a joker. But anyway audience liked it so maybe sth is there.. lol
