The bureau felt so off , it was a mix of the bureau during Beherupiya times and the huperrealistic bureau during 2015 episodes

Finally watched the episode and I have mixed sentiments. On one hand, I'm glad to see the show again with new epis and a return, but on the other hand it felt too overdone. I'll explain below.

First the good - they kept the basic intent of CID intact. Simpler cases that everyone can solve, but with a touch of emotions on the officers' side and some bad acting from the extras (sorry but not sorry ). The case had it's usual loopholes, but apart from that they kept it mostly intact. I like that the characters have been developed further since 2018 - they didn't just continue with the usual antics of Pankaj and the usual banter between Dr. Salunkhe and ACP. They changed it up as if these characters had grown in 6 years and changed.

The bad - I don't get the whole Shreya-Daya-Abhijeet saga and I don't understand why they had to do this stupidity. I'm sorry but for what it's worth, they could have continued the story from 2018 without this stupid Shreya dying, a few months later, Shreya alive and Abhijeet out of jail bit. It was totally unnecessary. Not acknowledging Freddy at all was also another downer for me. Arre baba he should have gotten at least a mention as Freddy not just as Dinesh Phadnis. The bureau, the action, and the climax all felt too filmy for me. I mean the bureau didn't have that nice, homely but office feeling it had before. Most of the action was done in slow-mo which was not needed. And the climax with Daya bending the gun was totally unnecessary.

Overall, my verdict is 50-50. I'm so happy that CID is back and that they didn't make a mockery of it, but it doesn't feel the same and I'm missing that familiarness of it from pre-2014.

First of all was disappointed with the in loving memory of Pradeepji and Dineshji. It was a blink and miss timing. Disclaimer had more timing on screen.

Missed Freddy Sir and Tarika so much. Freddy Sir's replacement Vruj is a disappointment. His acting I didn't like. I thought his character is opposite of Fredie Sir. Freddy Sir's comic compared to Vruj's snide remark about APC's timing etc.gave me that impression. Will see in future if he is really a true investigator or turn villain later on. My opinion.

Shreya came in one episode as IB officer but end of episode it seemed was working for The Eye.

Last night killer did give reason - his brother was on a mission with Daya and Abhijeet. Abhijeet saved Daya, not his brother. Abhijeet said we save lives over ours. His brother was already dead before he could do save him.

By the way did they ever conclude The Eye track? They did few episodes but I think did not catch The Eye. I could be wrong.

In SRGMP there was a message from CID team. All 3 I think were in Forensic area. Background was modern.

Yeah they kept it short and simple. Purvi had already explained who the killer was, so they kept his big speech limited to a few sentences.

Actually that one seemed more believable than the seat 128A. Repeat after me...1 2 8 A. WHAT PLANE HAS 128 ROWS, 6 SEATS PER ROW, AND STILL HAS ONLY 300 PASSENGERS ONBOARD?!!

On the bomb in candle, if you think about it, it could be possible. Bombs today can be really small. I read somewhere that today's bombs could be the size of your palm. Once you make the bomb, you cover it with something to protect it, dip it in wax, and you have a candle bomb...I think. The wick acts like the trigger for the bomb, kinda like RDX or dynamite. Definitely seems plausible, but then again I'm not an explosives expert.

That ariplane seats broke my immersion from the episode , it was the reason why i decided to watch the episode layer

All the conflicts were resolved within one episode , they could've taken time to resolve it

I thought that they would pay homage to Freddy in that function of honoring the dead officers where ACP was in before the criminal got caught but that didn't happen....they didn't mention Freddy at all

Also the victim getting shot in train by a sniper sniper was the plot of an old episode "case of the hidden sniper" which aired in 2000

The terrace in which Avni finds the footprint and gun powder looked close to the terrace in case of the four Rinas

ACP sir in that function reminded me of Beherupiya for some reason

My theory was partially true.....Abhijeet did blame Daya for her death and that was why he "shot" him but he wasn't blamed for Freddy's death

Edit; just checked wiki and the hidden sniper episode was aired on 20th december 2000 that's exactly 24 years and 1 day before season 2 ep 1 returned with an almost similar storyline

Refreshing to read an episode review just like old times ⏲️

I haven't watched the episode yet just like old days lol and they have not uploaded to youtube either

Will download and watch and then give my two cents 😆
