She's probably hoping to be idolized for her "ballsy" statements since her "unique" movie choices didn't get her anywhere yet.

I’m glad she’s supporting Indian movies over Western movies. However, if she’s so worried about India obsessing/idolizing over the West and Western movies, shouldn’t it apply to other things as well and not just movies?

Remind me, wasn’t she the one who said she’s fascinated by Western/American history? Or am I confusing her with someone else?🤔 If it was indeed her who stated that, then I’m sure she hardly knows much about Indian history.

The reality is majority of Bollywood people love anything and everything about the West. It can be seen in their lifestyle, vacations, clothing, and even food to some extent. And there’s nothing wrong with it either, to each their own. But atleast don’t call out others for idolizing Western movies, when you yourself do the same with different things. A lot of Indian people love movies like Interstellar and were probably waiting for it to come out. And just because you want to watch Interstellar doesn’t mean you’re putting down Pushpa 2! Both movies can be enjoyed equally by fans🤷🏽‍♀️
