QeJ is being called commercial in comparison to ZPKB & MJ. People who are celebrating now that Yumna is finally doing a good project mocked Sajal & Bilal for the same.
I'm not sure why there is shade for any of these. I watch for story and sometimes a flop only describes lack of views or trp and not the quality of the work or it's ability to engage viewers. There are a few express dramas I watched that have no trp or views. I could careless.
I enjoyed the experience of barzakh. The cinematography was incredibly and the first episode was out of the world. Yes, it has issues. I completely understand. The story was not tied up that way it could have been among some other things. And I don't know if one can say it was a hit or a flop. Maybe a flop? There is still quality viewing experience.
Zard and MJ may not have had a big budget but they were not bad. Sajal Bilal are incredible actors. Bilal is one actor who has been as strong in his performance as in his first drama. Sultana mentioned that she was making three short series on social topics. It was consistent. I watched Nadaan. It was something different.
I thought it is a really good thing that Bilal, Sajal and Yumna did these projects. There are some issues and I'm sure Qej will also have things where we'll be like what's going on or what was that! But I don't have SMD level of issues with any of these projects. It is very understandable that even social projects are of a variety and will differ by set, story length and cast.
From what I saw on this thread there was shade towards QeJ being commercial compared to SMD and I personally thought that's just such an odd thing to state. I understand the comparison to the other ones but not QeJ to SMD.
Actually, I don't have issues with SMD itself. I mean there are way way worse things out there. I do understand people are being hard. But people are fed-up as the team is forcing it down people's throat as a very passionate convincing story that everyone is loving. It is not. They did not hope but believed it would be bigger than TB commercially in terms of success due to Wahaj or whatever reason. They advertised those Wahaj Maya shoots in a false way. They also think everyone is after them but no it's because of how they're receiving the feedback and labeling everyone as haters and jealous beings. Haseeb shading trp is just ridiculous. Wahaj's back is breaking from carrying this whole thing. The script, the color schemes, the dialogues and Sadaf and logic! Nothing flows.
Nothing flowing is the problem.
For example, Ishq murshid and Pyaar ke sadkeey both had elements of fantasy. No one was asking questioned as to why certain unrealistic things were happening? The drama itself explains it. Like how good actors express with their eyes. SMD does not have that. SMD does not have a fantasy element yet it brings in illogical situations which are just not fitting of the drama's set-up. There are some serious flaws in the writing, execution and that Sadaf character makes no sense.
