I just wanted to answer your post (I loved what you expressed).

-Both of them are interesting but the way the writers turned their characters, it's a letdown. And I second you that (currently) it's Virat who is interesting because of his regret and effort, that writers fail to show properly!!!!!!

- Everything you wrote about Virat, it's true. That's why I told @AdiandSid there is something about him, that I can't hate him. He is not Bad but circumstances made him. And if we look closer despite his "anger/injustice" towards Ammu, he always "protected" her but not from himself (result Mela). Now that the guy realizes everything, yes Ammu may forgive him, but as an audience, the best way is another wedding (respecting both Marathi and Punjabi rites. WE DESERVE THAT).

Mentioning the Mela, yes Ammu is also at fault. We all wondered why she wanted to go solo (idiot!), but we can only blame the writers again because they didn't want to expose BA that soon, and even when we got her exposure, Virat's reaction was bad (plus it didn't come from Ammu). Really bad!

How many times could we get a beautiful track but they ended up giving us "crap?"

For me:

-The Frienship phase was crucial but we didn't get it and used the "Dil Toota Ve" song to show V heartbroken, sorry but not in that context unless love was in the air and he felt betrayed, they should've not...If you see what I mean. And now that we got their "LOVE" it feels like it came from nowhere (better ho sakta ta)

-The Mela for the forcing. I would've not cared because they were meant to be. The zabardasti was okay (we've seen it before on ITV) but the way they executed it and made him blackmail her and all, was sickening. Chalo, let's keep it aside until we get the BA exposure, why didn't V react another way to counter that? Yes, he regrets it now but...Something is missing in the puzzle to be ACCEPTABLE. How could he react with an almost ajnabi that way and let his Mom with a "Pass" (do teen deen I don't want to talk to you Mom and hop! everything forgotten )

And I can go on and on about the show.

In short, we are not against the main characters (here Virat in particular) but can't stand those fabulous writers' work. Bohot kuch ho sakta ta lakin un logon ne sab karab kardi

2nd: Yup... Virat is the more 'exciting' character and Amruta the more 'principled' one. This reminded me of the deer and the headlight thing after a long time (if you have read it in my posts here before). Ammu will go on with her life - good or bad - and what he used to do most of the time until recently is surprise her in good or bad ways to shock her out of her day to day life.

3rd para: Yup. I liked that version of Virat too - which was much more genuine than he is right now. It was also a bit too 'good' - but the writers used it to whitewash him of what he had done before.

4th: onwards, I have multiple issues with how they have shown these developments - be it from Virat or Amruta or the rest (say, Bhavani). May be I can address them in separate posts if needed. Viewers are not the ones who are supposed to give the justifications for what was done.. its the writers job to show it. In one way 'they are destined to be together' can be used to justify anything with no explanation required - so 'do whatever one wants to... it doesn't matter cause they are after all destined to be together.'

The mela wedding needless to say was the lowest point in the show and it was important that the writers deal with it in appropriately. May be you can think about stories or shows you have seen / read and liked and look at the low points in them - how the writer(s) have handled that low point. Chances are the treatment will be much better. Forget what Virat did, Amruta from what she was shown as and 'done before', I had expected her to walk away (even run away if needed)... given she walked out of the proposal of Ankit (who is now magically Shubh). Of course, they again changed it now by making him as the guy who walked away from it. They butchered her after the mela incident just because they can show VA together - 'married or not married' or 'its complicated'. For them all that matters is VA have to be together.

[I do watch the whole ep every day as it drops... may be that's a difference too.]

Definitely! Even if I catch up later I feel watching the whole show makes a difference. In my case, the "only" part I missed was during Ramadan and it was the Terrace stay, but when I came back I felt like I didn't miss anything, so it depends on tracks (maybe)

Dont think she will leave. Even if she does, she will be around Shubh. She has been a pain.

She may leave too... I guess her purpose is served. She was to be a troll version of the complaints viewers like us have and make VA look as a 'happy married couple with no issues'... its after her intro that they got more closer. Another job was to bring in Shubh. Since he is in, she can leave too.

Thought of posting something different (instead of discussing episode) for the 1 year anniversary of Kmtmg and ended up being really busy and didn’t get a chance to. It has been a pleasure to read and discuss with all of you here regarding our show. I recall seeing the original promos for this show and it caught my interest. It was exciting and intriguing. Then somehow while I randomly scrolled on youtube, I came across one of the first episodes with Amvira on the yacht and then the rest is history – fell in love with Amvira jodi and started watching this show.

Just checked out the promo for new show Mannat – looks interesting. But as usual, most of the shows start out with grand promos and begin with a bang and then most gets messed up somewhere along the way. Kmtmg has so much potential with such a talented cast and also started off with grand promos giving it the impression this could be different. But alas the makers keep using the same old cycle of villains and nonsensical plots and plans repeatedly. Wishing and hoping they bring back the essence of this show and work on script and characters.

Also did you all check out the shaadi promo for the new show Jaane anjane…with Sriti and zee family? They emphasize on celebrations and functions with customs, traditions and rituals. It would be nice to see Amvira have a proper wedding and events. Amvira jodi deserves such a shaadi …all the riti rivaaj and functions dhoom dhaam se in Punjabi style (this was mentioned several times in show itself). There has been no new promo for our show. Hope the makers and channel put some effort into kmtmg as well.

Ok so I was thinking of making a separate thread for Kmtmg wish list- what would you like to see in the show: scenes, plot, ideas or anything related. I know one was made much earlier but got lost being part of the discussion thread. So should I do a separate thread so we can just add to that? Listing a few here:

1. 1. Amvira wedding (with proper rituals and functions in Punjabi plus Marathi style)
2. 2. Bollywood themed cocktail party (Lol Virat’s idea)
3. 3. Trip to Aaji’s village (should be fun and entertaining)
4. 4. Amvira on a business trip, conference or meeting or attending an event (just by themselves and no family tagging along and no villains following them either)
5. 5. Scenes outside of the building – (its always Ahuja house or JK flat)
6. 6. Amvira resort

You really believe track ka outcome alag hoga? after seeing numerous FL CA tracks, ML false allegations tracks, even Harsh had a case on him.

Well... there has to be a separation one day or the other. Seems like a good place to bring it in... when they are at "peak" trust. but yeah... another element generally required for separation hasn't happened yet.

How long can they go on with plots with no tangible outcomes?

Will Ahujas (or even Ammu for that matter) agree for a deal with ex in exchange for Virat being free? I hope its not she who does it - but they love to show her being humiliated... need to be seen directly (her doing it) or through Ahujas (we chose the deal, you can leave)... Virat isn't butchered in this.

Or perhaps this track was brought to show they trust eo - Mt Everst to Mariana Trench.
