No matter how many flaws yhm had, the best part about it was the progression and development of the relationship between Raman and Ishita. It was done very organically and gradually from parents to friends to lovers. It's a shame that ghum couldn't replicate the best part of yhm

Since they are copying alk track...I wonder how will they copy license track

It's definitely difficult to replicate license track here. In yhm, Ashok's brother sued Ishita because he was her patient and the only way Raman could bring back her license was by agreeing to the demands of Ashok/Suraj and sacrificing his presidentship

Here I'm not sure how they're gonna play out that track. First of all, losing job and losing medical license are completely different. And there's no way Arsh/his brother could get involved with Savi's job. Ghum cvs might probably skip this track all together, but if they want to implement this track, they have to use their own brain to create a similar kind of situation like yhm

She just broke the mirror, I felt like breaking Raman's head when that scene happenedsmiley7.

Just unnecessary drama. Bhallas could have accompanied them, leaving Ishita. Toshi and Mr. Bhalla could have made Adi happy and comfortable, while Shagun can rot in hell.

During Param track, when Raman goes to Mumbai, he had to tend Adi that night ,as Adi falls sick, that night Ishita was molested by Param for the first time. Raman spends the night in the hotel room with Adi, while Shagun is also present there. So, all the three spend the night in same room.

After Raman comes back to Mumbai, Ishita is no where to be seen in Bhalla house. By that time, I think Ashok tells Bhallas that Raman spent night with Shagun. Raman enquires about Ishita, Toshi says she's angry with you that you spent night with Shagun, now go and explain her and bring her back home. Then Raman thinks to himself, why does it matter to her who I spend night with, this is just a contract marriage anyway.

After many days, this scene comes, where he's literally so uncomfortable to even look at Ishita's face and ask her permission to let Ruhi accompany him along with Shagun and Adi for the picnic. Actually he was selfish here even, more than asking permission, he was actually worried that Ruhi won't agree, unless Ishita asks her to go.

Raman just goes deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to Adi.

But the change in Raman was so gradual, from not caring to clear Ishita why he had to spend night with Adi in Shagun's room, to asking her to let Ruhi accompany him, and trusting Ishita with the truth that Adi had did the accident, and later when Ishita offers Shagun and Adi to stay at Bhallas, when Ashok throws Shagun out, Raman asks Ishita if she's sure about her decision, because he do not come up with the idea of bringing Shagun and Adi to Bhallas, but Ishita does, normally Raman would not care what others thought, if he gets Adi to be with him, let him cost anything, but he made sure Ishita felt comfortable, at least asked her if she was sure. And finally choosing Ishita over Adi, if Adi doesn't want to accept Ishita.

The way Raman-Ishita equation evolved, when Adi had to be in the picture, one of the most fantastic growth I have ever witnessed. It was gradual and slow. That's how love tends you, changes you for good, and makes you to do what is right.

Raman was not brainwashed, not forced, no majboori, he just made it clear that he's not gonna leave Ishita for anyone's sake, let alone Adi. I was literally blown away, when Raman said that to Adi, that he can't leave Ishita, even if is for his sake. That scene was miles ahead than any love confession Raman had ever made to Ishitasmiley27

So true!!!

I think Raman's character arc with respect to Adi was done so well. I never realised this until you mentioned...but there was so much progress made even from Param's track to accident track. As you said in Param's track, Raman didn't even think that Ishita deserves any explanation because it was a contract marriage anyway..but in accident track, that definitely changed. After Ishita witnesses Shagun/Raman together in the fire accident and Raman comes back home..everyone except Ishita ask him what was he doing there in the hotel with Shagun..He doesn't answer anyone but keeps staring at Ishita trying to gauge her reaction. Then he goes to her and says "why aren't you even asking me anything?"😭 Unknowingly for Raman, Ishita became much more than just Ruhi's Ishima.

And then the climax of accident track where he says "Agar Adi meri kamzori hai toh tum meri taakat bano"❤️😭 It was beautiful..

Also in Shagun's marriage track, when he gets to know that Adi sent the wrong address to Ishita, the way he goes against Adi..The same Adi that he was so obsessed with. Like I literally got so scared seeing the anger in Raman's eyes that day.

And then the scene that you mentioned where Raman choses Ishita over Adi and the IshRa hug after that scene..❤️😭

Also he did forgive Ishita in the end as well when she killed Adi though we never thought that this would happened considering Adi was his 1st born n Raman immensely loved Adi..Ishita ka husband won over Adi ka baap..

YHM after leap is just trash. It just kept contradicting itself.

At Adi's funeral, Raman tells Ishita pointing at Shagun, ' Maa woh hota hai, jo tu kabhi nahi ho sakta hai' smiley32, something like that. That day I felt, I committed a grave blunder in my life by watching this showsmiley35. I wondered if this is the same show which wanted to show how a woman can become a mother in real sense, it just doesn't mean only by giving birth. But no, at last womb matterssmiley32

What they kept building from day one, they just undid everything with that stupid leap.

Shagun kept away Adi from Raman, by lying about Raman to Adi. Raman did exactly same with Pihu and Ishita. He didn't let Iyers even get a glimpse of Pihu. Raman used to taunt Shagun that 'Tu na Bhalla hai na Khanna hone ka licence mila', when she used to stay with Ashok without marriage. Well, Raman did same with Shagun for that leap. Ishita also lived with Mani, though she didn't let the world believe that Mani is her husband, but Raman went ahead and made Shagun act like his wife in front of the world.

I just can't forget how IshRa's loveless contract marriage found meaning, because these two just respected the marriage the way it is, even before love happened, or after love happened.

And they made marriage a joke again with Raman-Shagun post leap.

Raman and Ishita were butchered beyond repair, just to fit in that one character Shagunsmiley35

Yes zoha, after Adi's death, Raman has not only just forgiven Ishita but gave her back the same place which she had in his life earlier. He never did that with Shagun. He had forgiven her, but never accepted her back and gave her the same place as before.

Post leap everything was thrash just to accommodate a gold digger and a characterless woman but what they couldn't change was IshRa's love..Raman might be upset n cruel towards Biwi but his love for her never lessen..Raman Ishita did some terrible things but they came back together since they were meant to be together ❤️
