In this narrative, I have never felt Ani being in love with two women consciously. In the earlier stage when the love story was being built, the conflict was so clearly outlined in the narrative that it only felt like a transition of feelings. While it is true that he had fallen in love with Jhanak , he hadn’t dealt with the actual reality of how his feelings would be until the point of Jhanak leaving Kolkata and its aftermath. If Tejas hadn’t intervened… who’s to say.. Ani and Arshi would have go on to marry as Ani never looked to dishonour his commitment to Arshi ( even as late as Kashmir) About his state of mind - that’s a separate thing.

Imv, the only time window in the story that Ani could have sensibly had a conversation with Arshi was after he came back from Kashmir ( post his resolve to never let go of Jhanak in his life) but obviously at that time he was more involved with the crisis in his life about Jhanak’s refusal and he lost it and rashly chose a path that led him to a downward spiral. Since then, it really it has been chaotic and it’s only after the tumour track that he had clarity about his love and life, shows intention to break off

When he gets back, he is desolate but resolves to break it off. The soft hearted guy he is, he still couldn’t find the words to do that and anyways shit of on site loaded…. followed by HA. It was here, where the realisation that his adjustment/relationship with Arshi had run its course…for both his own reasons and intrinsically the way their relationship was at that stage. He again resolved to separate from Arshi, “legally” if required. He makes his intentions clear but before anything concrete happens, Jhanak’ disappears and he loses his moorings once again.

the last main kamzor padta hoon was an aberration ( expeditious) as I explained before but if I were to read his state of mind and I wish the dialogues were better, it was to say I am going through a tough time and I would appreciate your support. And if you see… even today he isn’t offering any words of promise etc… all he is saying I am not looking to leave you. Ani being a soft hearted guy… the only time he asserts himself without a filter is if it has to do with Jhanak; previously he used to do those things unconsciously.. now he does it consciously PERIOD

The statement regarding promise...yes...he no more states any promise to Arshi...he sharply called her out for clarification when she was blabbering all bullshit to J that kal raat humne Jo saath waqt bitaye, tumne jo waadein kiye mujhse...I think of late, he clearly understood the consequences of his promises to Arshi done previously and how irrevocably damaged his, Arshi's and J's lives have become to fulfill or honour those promises..

@bold: Yes, that "who's to say" is what Leena is STILL playing with and STILL trying to beat like a dead horse .....out of nowhere, Arshi was again ranting to Ani about how he loved her once and they were so happy blah blah but Jhanak beech mein aa gayi....and Ani is shown stating ki your mom tortured Jhanak despite knowing she's her real daughter and you all mistreated Jhanak so much that I had to stand for her......lol ghuma phira ke again Leena is trying to convince everyone of this point ki Jhanak na hoti toh Anishi were set .....Jhanak beech mein aa gayi blah blah.....how many different ways Arshi wants to hear that Ani doesn't love her now and heck he has never loved with even 1/10th of the intensity that he shows for Jhanak.....so it is just Arshi's lala land that is being indulged relentlessly and insufferably.

Even after Jhanak DYING, nothing changed...he was a zombie without Jhanak....but Didi is determined to prove that Jhanak na ho toh Ani will love her ....Anishi were done from the moment Ani met Jhanak....Tejas ki intervention was serendipity but Ani was attracted to Jhanak even before that. If he had gone on to marry Arshi, he would have lived the existence decided for him by his family but he wouldn't be truly happy and I foresee they would have had the same fate as Srishti-Vinayak.

It's just tiresome that we are made to litigate this same tired story even at the 400 epi mark when no one gives a shit about Arshi's imagined victimhood....Leena can keep trying to make it happen in her obsession with her laadli but no one is buying.

Re: today's assurances...yes it was very much in line with his basic soft-hearted nature which wouldn't cast anyone out in a low moment as Didi was claiming she was upset about her parents ki marriage falling apart blah blah....but he also made it clear that his support of Jhanak is non-negotiable....he is not promising anything to Arshi on that front....again, I didn't see him hiding anything in this scene....he laid out the situation very clearly for Arshi that this is all he can offer her at this point as support....and Jhanak is non-negotiable. Arshi choosing to still stay after that is her choice. He showed her as much general humanity as he could at this point given how he was also reeling with so much shock.......what a contrast to how Arshi behaved when he was in need of basic human regard during his HA. Still Ani shows that he can step up when a person is begging him for emotional support....while in his own low moments, he is mocked and kicked around by these same people.

I guess they want to justify why Srishti will be all the more desperate to set Arshi with Ani so that they have an alternate money source if Vinayak kicks them out ....it won't just be about winning over Jhanak but also to control Ani as a money source.....cheap maa-beti se yehi level ke plans ban sakte hain.

Which is why I caveated it about his state of mind being a different thing which means that Ani Arshi relationship couldn’t have survived

LOL you may be convinced but I guess Leena doesn't want the audience to be convinced of that.....which is why so many characters are shown making a combination of statements about how Ani supposedly still loves Arshi or that he wants to build a life happily with her.....lol

Even after Ani clearly told Arshi that his intention of trying to move forward after Jhanak's death was a practical thought that he was clearly struggling to implement given how he still sat around in depression.....still he is being gaslighted as if he totally normalizes with Arshi when he loses Jhanak....lol staying in the same room has become a catch-all presumption for how he supposedly loves Arshi somewhere.

Your point about irrevocable....lol Arshi forcibly doesn't want to comprehend that....she wants to prop up a narrative that Ani is supposedly giving her hints that he still loves her in some form, that is why she is staying with him. She is putting words in his mouth about how he supposedly loves both her and Jhanak to which Ani is just rolling his eyes in exasperation

If only Leena had the guts to show Ani pointing out to Arshi that can't she see the WORLD of a difference in how he loves Jhanak being nowhere in the same zone as whatever relationship he had with Arshi? Arshi is still screaming like a past relationship is end all and be all of life.....pathetic cheap aurat.

I don't care about dialogues and promises anymore. Makers should at least clarify that he is having Arshi to please his family, but everything is left to us to perceive differently, followed by unwanted arguments over their changing characters.

On the other hand, the key concern is why Leena is showing Anirudh as a man in a negative light.

Despite having some ineffective actions, he ruined his life for Jhanak's betterment and happiness. Doesn't he deserve any happiness?

Why does he have to beg for her love?

I hate this factor! 🤬 There's no significant conflict or reason for Jhanak and Ani to sacrifice, but still, they're having unlimited misunderstandings and a lack of communication.

My blood boils when she portrays men as liars and cheaters, whereas all sympathy is for women. Ani's life has also been destroyed, but when Leenaji describes the story nowadays, it seems like he is solely responsible for the whole mess. 😢

In any other shows, villains have proper motives and justifications. However, here, they are only flipping dialogues on a daily basis.

Don't they feel they are making a mockery of this?

Don't they feel ashamed of showing unprofessionalism?

Hate Leena! Women empowerment ke naam per dhaba hai ye insaan! 🤬

The audience should trend to save Ani's character and stop portraying Ani in a negative light.
