Lets face it Shraddha did not deserve credit for Stree 2 success

I mean the hype created by the first part and Independence Day weekend. Along with the return of the original cast who were much loved in part 1 was what helped the film.

Neither is it a woman-centric film. Sure the titular character is that of a female. But the majority of the screen time is given to the four characters, all of them male.

Shraddha's role in the movie is limited. Also, Shraddha is not a crowd-puller. I mean if she was, Haseena Parker would have been superhit

Let's face it, most of Shraddha's movies that have worked at the box office, have other contributing factors like - Big stars, Good music, Franchise hype, etc.

Talking on crowd pullers when have most women centric movies pulled in the crowds alone ? Deepika and Katrina have done well in multi starrers or mainly with SUPERSTARS like the Khans be it Deepika, Katrina, recently alia ? Yes there is the slb movie ( multi starrer and content m/story mattered and ironically Priyanka with the secondary role got more praise over the lead. Katrina is mainly in multistarrers/ w/superstars or well known production houses when the movies she’s done have been big success. There solo movies or where they were the bigger name hardly got them openings on their own. It’s very rare. But yes this movie as a starcast but Shraddha is the most popular and known raj Kumar is the second mode popular in the movie because we can use the same argument in why some his other movies didn’t pull in the crowds or openings/numbers like other Bollywood stars ?

It’s ok to give Deepika Katrina Alia credit in movies when there roles limited esp as either appearances item numbers example dhoom 3 Katrina was barely there but wasn’t she given credit as the lead ? Merry Xmas in the other hand Bombed at the Bo. Likewise with Deepika in movies where she was just there only limited time compared to the leads even Kareena Kapoor in singham though
Kareena still solo as movie with bigger openings then most but when she’s billed as the lead whether she there more then 30 minutes and not considered a cameo she is credited with the movies success even though it’s a popular brand or whatever

This can be applied to Deepika, Katrina. Kiarra's, Alia etc… and I even like Kiara and everyone knows Sal-Kat … alone they hardly have impact. Plus Shraddha has done way less movies then Deepika and Katrina and she never worked with superstars like this khans, whereas these two have. Kiarra is newer then ones mentioned and didn’t work with the khans and salman though esnt her to shd don’t care Salman dated her aunt or not they looked good in the ad even I wish Shraddha worked with Salman ( whenever she comes in big boss and they have danced on stage or whatever they looked good to me ).
And everyone know I 😍Sal-Kat…. My point is when these can get credit then Shraddha deserves to as well!!

Besides when was tiger, Varun whom she worked with the most n some others in superstar league ? Regarding working in brands so have others so it’s pointless debate to me. I think this whole Shraddha thing now getting noticed as she’s being credited with having been in a movie that is now the highest grosser ever and other actress’s and their groups not liking it but when it was theirs it was ok .

@nistha that was Stree 1 not Stree 2. Regardless ranveer Singh per some tweet is getting credit in singham as an extended cameo.

I think Salman Khan should do with Pathan on that basis.

Point is I don’t care in these silly wars I see in this place on actresses esp when in my opinion most haven’t pulled in crowds on their own and usually smaller budget movies are movies that women centric that done extremely well have been on the content more then starpower !!
Look at Kashmir files, even loony kanga had movies do well where she was the most known then we dirty picture with vidya balan but these rare. Then there is the crew which the story seemed intriguing!!

And the nice thing about Shraddha is she isnt going around saying it was her as to why it did well but team work!! Though yes her pr team would want to highlight her as her helping in the success why not ? Why would not anyone want to take credit on a brand that’s worked well and in case she is a go getter then I see nothing wrong. In stree 1 she wanted her role to be extended why not ? And they agreed so it was mutual. In stree 2 she promoted the movie like she was the lead she gave it her all so she deserves it like the others. She isn’t taking away their success and everyone knows who had how much role sand what not and who had impact.
