So I liked the episode and I think I’m liking the show so far.
Loved the first scene with Bilal. You see that he is with a girl and says he is trying to stop drinking. He hasn’t stopped yet, he’s making small changes and trying to move in the right direction. That’s hard to do and can’t be done overnight. My guess is that he turns to alcohol more at night when he’s alone with his thoughts. So yes it seems his mother left his dad and him for another man…poor Billu. Felt for him and Wahaj’s performance was good here. I also like that his thoughts about women have evolved and it isn’t just about Sadaf. It isn’t just about good girls vs. bad girls and the fact that he said he respected that girl was some good character growth for him. He also said something to Sadaf about how it’s disrespectful to take the name of most girls when you’re drunk…he didn’t say good girls. So again, I felt like his character was evolving.
Humsha and Ammar…what can I say about them. Humsha knows there is nothing going on between Bilal and Sadaf and knows Sadaf has a problem, yet let Ammar to continue to think what he is thinking? She even apologized to Sadaf so I’m not seeing a genuine person. Also the real rumour should be what it happening between Humsha and Ammar. He’s literally on her crying and she’s caressing him to comfort him. How’s that not the big story? And these two are judging Sadaf?
I also really liked the scenes between Bilal and Sadaf. They were discussing a real problem and there a certain amount of trust between them which made the whole interaction felt pure. He cares about Sadaf but he also cares about Mirza Saab’s family. Mirza Saab was such a big part of his life and he put a lot of weight on his words. You can see his conflict. He’s gravitating towards Sadaf but hesitates thinking about Mirza Saab. He somehow thinks he isn’t worthy of her. The first scene seemed rushed….i was expecting them to pan to Wahaj’s face too before the scene ended but they didn’t. I also thought they would show us Wahaj’s face when he called Sadaf but they didn’t. I like their interactions so I’m craving more.
I know people think this is Zaviyaar’s story but I think he’s just a catalyst in Bilal and Sadaf’s story. Sadaf started working there, asked for money and confided in Bilal all due to Zaviyaar’s situation. And now Bilal will be going with Zaviyaar for his treatment. I think I saw a scene of the family with luggage. Are they going or maybe they are just walking with him to the gates.
Question is, where is this going? Ammar’s suicide attempt or breakdown…whatever he is going through is going to force Sadaf to agree to his proposal I think. Bilal will be with Zaviyaar and will come back to this news.
