I did it! I finished rpm!!!!

Okay so, I recovered some of my long lost memories as soon as I saw Dr. K as the young girl and the names Gem and Gemma ringed some bells.

Can't believe I was that young to not realise the tension between Summer and Dillon (I like the spelling Dylan more 🤭). And I actually forgot about them 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Then I realised why I was not into this series, well as a former child I was (still am) into hero centric stuff! And for me Red is leader and it should revolve around him! Yeah, I take that being young enough to not appreciate the parallel arcs!

Ziggy is a comedic relief and Poor flynn (for me Tangled Flynn is still the best) is that third wheel 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don't know how my heart has softened enough to slightly scare me with the initial intro (maybe because AI taking over is an underlying threat). During lockdown I finished Prodigal son (HBO max Crime thriller - try this if you're into detective series) without as much as moving a single muscle.

As yrkkh is the only serial I'm following now, I blame that for me getting scared 🤦‍♀️ And I take this as my cue to go back to literally any English series (just not family oriented, still yrkkh is enough for that😉)

And I gave myself ample of shocks as I was able to guess what will happen next including Tenaya - Dillon relationship, before they even addressed it in the show (slightly mistaken then to be a pair but Summer-Dillon supremacy held me back 🤣🤣🤣🤣).

Now my reasons why you should watch Prodigal son 😉

Malcolm Bright (former Whitley) is Criminal Profiler and son of a serial killer (The Surgeon). I do like medical series (like the House MD)

Malcolm was the one to turn in his father! So you've the main lead with daddy issues, night terrors and a danger magnet! (Sprinkled with masochism as he holds himself responsible for one the victims of his father "the girl in the box")

He has also got a Father figure (the one who arrested Malcolm's father!) and some chemistry with his co-worker Danny 🤣🤣 + he annoys another male coworker 🤣🤣🤣

Gem Gemma is hilarious and very interesting how they come late with gold rangers stuff. Dr k is funny and her background is cool too. Green ka itna bhao nhi but that epi with his dad and his accent is cool ..ziggy is forever comedy 😂😂

Haha true all show has red as focus and technically it is there in rpm too. Scott has his dad issue, dead bro, want to prove himself as leader, constant fight with dillon, equation with summer etc. maybe it's our gaze that SD comes too much to us but yeah dillon bg was like 70% lol and I was this close to stop watching it thinking tanaya ex wife nikli to 😂😂😂😂 the end was cute too, the way dillon entered watching flowers with his car and the ending the flowers have spread and his car has two more members ❤️❤️

Scott dillon summer background is amazing especially the first scene scott is saved by summer. Yellow ranger part 1/2 is awesome especially the part dillon throws a glass on floor and yells at her parents none can force her for anything and Scott is like back off dude 😂😂❤️❤️ scott dillon bromance is also funny, their hand cuff scenes, typical car thing boys will be boys, and during summer wedding thing both of mocking chaaadddd 👌👌👌😂

S3 one team member dies like it's shocking so our heroine enters

She's mossad /Israeli raw isi cia level

She's gorgeous 🥰 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 perfect for our hero lmao he's such a kamina

They have instant spark like you will feel it too

After that some undercover stuff between them and the guy solo and their bonding also grows

Their story spreads like 8-9 seasons and it's also ektaish if you think but initial seasons. Just watch. Enough said.

Vanraj and Aditya never got the character arc that virat did .. and it was firmly placed on the second spot for 894 episodes..

I am glad his next show is doing well but there are 2 male actors sharing equal space and the negative part is being appreciated a lot ..so well done Gombi ( Kinshuk)

Thanks so much for the recco. I was looking for a good Marathi show to watch (last time I liked a good one on colors Marathi was "Raja Rani Chi Ga Jodi") and right now Star Pravah has only one show that is decent (Anupama ka sane version), so this looks like a good one to check out.

Do let me know if you have any other such reccos for Marathi shows - I find them to be mcuh more tolerable than ITV ones right now

If you like Hindi family drama - my reason to start watching gen 3 based on yrkkh’s reputation which they absolutely massacred in gen 3 and are still doing, then watch Udne ki Asha it’s good middle class family drama, kind of plots I expected from yrkkh just in rich rajasthani family environment with lots of naach ganna and good costumes, lekin DKP ki maati mari gayi hai ab!!

P.s - I have watched prodigal son, a long time ago with my husband, he is big time into detective murder mysteries, I just tag along for some, but don’t remember much of the show now. If you like this genre, I would recommend Broadchruch, it is a British crime series and unlike American series that rely on fast paced, twists and turns, this is slow building but engaging series, beautifully shot too. I loved watching it. Another recommendation would be Big Little Lies season 1. Just don’t read any spoilers for both, may be just watch the trailer, read the synopsis and go in blind if you plan to watch.
