The glimpses of Ruhi’s humanity that showed in the fire scene has been made into something vicious, bitter and hateful by Goenkas’ horrible parenting and then by the Poddars’ overpampering. It’s not normal that the girl gets jealous & insecure over a little bit of affection shown to a young girl who’s her cousin & co sister, especially when that affection has come after a long phase of insults, abuse and humiliation. It’s not normal that she is angry that Abhira is not infertile one second and then shedding tears over the life threat on Abhira. Its so bizzare that if you watch the fire scene as a standalone, Ruhi will come across as a concerned, mature and affectionate elder sister but in compilation with her entire arc, it was awful, indigestible and faraway from reality of the show. Goenkas have honestly ruined a happy child and made her such a vile bxtch.

Isi situation ko itv world mein "badi dil waale" bolte hain. Like initially she always stood for her self respect but was called names by other characters but ab dekho, self respect ko side kar diya toh best bahu/bhabhi bann gayi

Which is a correct question to ask with respect to Ruhi's madness otherwise.. but this whole thing of being unable to share love! That's just an upbringing problem.. she had a problem sharing par nanu's love with an orphan girl and now she has problem with everyone loving someone else more than loving her.. that's basic insecurity.. coming from bad parenting!
