Hello fellow forum members,

I hope you're all doing well. I'd like to kick off a discussion today on a topic that can be a concern for some individuals who've undergone cataract surgery: eye floaters. Floaters can be distracting and sometimes worrisome, but they are a relatively common occurrence. Let's explore the connection between cataract surgery and eye floaters after cataract surgery and discuss strategies for managing them.

Floaters in the anterior chamber of the eye or posterior chamber or vitreous, can be a natural side effect of the aging process. In fact, cataracts and floaters affect two completely different areas of the eye .

Floaters are a common side effect of cataract surgery, and they often disappear within a short period. However, sometimes they can persist and cause complications. Treatment can depend on the cause, but may include surgery and freeze treatment.
