I agree on the episode milestone part. Right now only that milestone completion seems to be the agenda of PH.

Why would the channel want the no. 3 show to,go off air ? No ..rishta is a bankable show..the most bankable on itv because it has a loyal viewership and dkp keeps it going with getting an amazing lead couple every gen. The reason why channel and dkp don’t bother much about promoting rishta is probably because they know rishta will have people always watching it..whereas the other shows probably need extensive promotion. Anupama is doing well but there’s no guarantee when or if Rupali leaves that the people will still watch..same with jhanak..It’s a new show ..if people suddenly stopped liking the story it could also go downhill. Like udaariyan when it started in Gen 1.’it was a top show but it just when downhill with each new Gen ..whereas rishta has managed to remain steady in all 4 generations with small fluctuations 🤷🏻‍♀️

Main reason for my post was uka fd never said anything about rishta then why to unnecessarily mock their hype. Do whatever with jhanak, ghum, anupama fd. Because those fd fights are common. I personally don't like uka lead characters but this provocation looked unnecessary.

Last time they were mocked by same fd for playing musical chairs on janmastami too.

Views or hype on SM do not ever matter to the the channel. That's not what I meant by my post. I even said the comparisons are just stupid.

My only point was it that this is done by every fd, I have seen UKA ML's fans make fun of Rohit and Armaan a lotttt. Their fd called Abhimaan hawas couple. Provocation is not done just from one side or one fd.

imo Rishta fd is the worst in ITV, but this is also true that Gen 4 gets unnecessary hate from all Gen 3, and other current shows fd on SM.

I still don't think channel is the problem here. Dkp has more influence than vankar. If ph themselves did not show any interest then it's futile to blame channel. Why would any channel not promote their "most famous" pair. It is the same channel which gave centre stage to rishta in celebrations like teej special episodes.

They are promoting ghum at the same time using ghum to promote other shows like uka and ankit show by doing mahasangam episodes frequently.

the shows before ghum are not slot leaders as colors shows are slot leaders for 6.30-8 but ghum gives a good base to the channel by being the slot leader at 8 & from their star plus gets an edge over other channels ....that's why they promote ghum I guess ..as ghum gets above 2 without any support from previous slot & provides good base to shows ahead of it

And shahi has much more influence on the channel than ghum's producer & he can even get rishta promoted the same way but he is not....he just cares for upma's promotion & releases 1 promo every 2 weeks ....

Ghum got 2.3 trp for leads marriage without any drama. Their trp dropped by 0.2 suddenly because of mahasangam with maati. No channel promote any show for free unless they get some benefit. It's all business. It took some weeks for rishta to increase trp from 2.1 - 2.2. Now it might increase more due to unlimited ruhi and vidya drama.

DKP's focus is largely on Anupama for obvious reasons. That's the moneymaker of the channel and the production house. Rishta is doing okay even without promos, and hence they do not bother putting in any more efforts. Plus, this gen's budget is quite limited anyways.
