@bold - Yeah, it’s happening in Bangladesh. Mere hometown mein toh har saal ki tarah zoro shoro se celebrate kiya ja raha hai, current political situation ka khayal rakhte huye security bhi tight rakhi gayi hai, taki koi unwanted situation naa paida ho.

Im South Indian but not a Malyali or Tamilian but have been to plenty of gollus...the idols are very beautiful... Its like collecting those idols itself is a hobby like collecting stamps or coins....

In my tradition Navratri is not such a major festival as Ganesh Chaturthi is....we have just a small pooja at home

2nd biggest celebrations in Bihar behind the obvious Chhath Pooja. Infact i am not wrong in boasting that Only Kolkata can beat Durga Puja/Navratri celebrations of Bihar.

For a claustrophic person like me its better because less rush/madness/crowd. But kolkata still beats everything.

For me it's a double Bonanza.

Being a Bengali, Durga Puja is around the corner 😍😍. Also belonging from gujrat, Navratri's vibe is something else in my city. Abhi 10 baje ambe maa ka Puja shuru hogi in my society, then dhire dhire log garba karenge. From 5-6th day, garba will take it's full force and whole night people will play garba only.
