The story I heard is she married him because most men wanted her to retire after marriage and he said he did not have a problem. But after marriage, they were already having issues as he would stay at home in a different city while she was off shooting.

A few months into their marriage, Rekha was already done with him and avoiding him and screening his calls. His suicide was somewhat inevitable but so tragic.

Rekha was considered a pariah in the industry for a few years. They called her a Black Widow and she didn't leave her home in all that time because she was considered cursed.
