Today I liked Hiba's expressions more than Krushal's...she nailed the last few minutes...her face was so expressive while showing pain..it was calm, controlled yet heart wrenching....many a times I feel Hiba gives similar expressions across various emotional scenes...but today was not that day..today her acting was on fire...both Hiba and Krushal, when share common screen, bring the best out of each other ❣️

I agree that today hiba nailed it but considering how much difficult it can be for krushal when he knows there is no logic about forgetting the night and he himself does not like the character despite that he delivered it with perfection. Hiba also was very good today . One of the episodes where she was supreme in her acting skills. Especially the last dialogue about is kadar bezzat kiya

Regarding the few questions if you watch the show from start..thete are many instances which show how he was never loved by Tanuja and there is only a formal connect between Anirudh and his parents. The one incident that flashed my mind is how Tanuja bright flowers when he was in hospital like a relative who came to see him.There is nothing wrong in bringing flowers , but her ways were very formal. The same when he became drama queen about corporate job and said he was feeling tired ..All she offered was go to a spa and you will better. Unlike a mom who would be tensed about her son. There was never a warmth from her side .

And also many times he has said about how Jethu and Bodomaa raised him while Shubho and Tanuja was busy.But Rumi and Mimi was raised by the parents . Hence the theory of abandonment popped up.

If its about he being troubled, may be not a situation like this where his dignity was questioned ...but he felt the pain whenever Choton ,Jethu were humilitated and always took a firm stand for them going against his parents. He has always stood with right and never bothered who was at the other end. And mostly he was emotional too when Choton was insulted on the basis of his poverty . I still remember how he said I consider Choton as my Bagwan ( Arey these two are same man...Jhanak and Anirudh ).He has fallen in many difficult situations at his home for helping Jhanak like he says.

He facing Tejas and saving Jhanak going to his home and insecure places ,where he could have lost his life are all troubles which he has come across which may have given him mental tension and pressure in a way if not similar to what he faces due to allegations from Jhanak now .And yes , the thought of Jhanak leaving is always shown as his pain as she is the one with whom he was happy and became himself back in Kashmir initial days to till date .

I am able to recollect to this extent at the moment . So it was shown even if it was not in detail as backstory.

Bold - Maya I think from my post, you can make a guess 😂😂😂 I am a Tamilian from Kerala… Kerala culturally becos of my upbringing by parents who are as Keralite as they come I guess but since I spent my growing up years in Mumbai, I hold that culture close too.. somehow be it Kerala, TN or Maharashtra, bidaai as a custom doesn’t figure in our wedding rituals if I am not wrong. Funnily I got married to a Punjabi where it does figure very highly. When my SIL was married, I was bemused almost to see the entire family in tears ( but I couldn’t cry one bit) 😂

yes some of your instances I have missed coz the early episodes I only ff most of it unless Ani and J were part of it 😂😂 I am now watching to understand Ani better.

As I said they indicate a life lived in a selfish or preoccupied with materialistic pursuits household… I understand subtlety aa a very important part in a narrative and value it too ( which is why I hate monologues) Still I feel Leena needed to go a bit beyond the said instances to show why Ani chooses “do naav”

In highlighting Ani’s standing up for the righteous consciously, Leena as a writer is making a huge declaration that Ani is a person who only values the truth he can see or the “truth” that is spoken to him. He has no understanding of the “unseen” and unspoken” truth. whether this is a character flaw unconsciously written or written to indicate a life where he needs people to ratify their loyalty at every step is hard to tell( like Barfi )
Yesterday he boldly declared to Arshi I always stand up for the truth. Tomorrow the disdain he showed to his father will come to haunt him. Will he be able to abandon one of the naavs?
