I would not rely so much on the dialogues and monologues they give Ani and Jhanak.
For me if he accepts J and baby without paternity test, Ani will stay true to his character. The trust was never there in their relationship, so I donโt hope for that now. But I think Ani thinks of his feelings towards Jhanak as one-sided love. He is mad at her that she did not listen to him and went ahead of letting Adi to be very close to her. Unfortunately Jhanak never cared to clear the misunderstanding about Aditya, she only cleared about Rahul and Tejas, because and even that happened when Anirudh pushed her to her limits. In the normal situation Jhanak doesnโt care to explain herself and her actions when she speaks about other men in her life. Being in Aniโs place any man would feel insecure: imagine a young man meets a girl who looks and acts innocent (yes, indeed Jhanak was innocent), but Tejas and Rahul love her, Ani does not love her yet. He is just interested and invested in her personality because she is very different from other women he saw before including Arshi. There was no one like Jhanak in his life before Kashmir trip. So, he tries to befriend her genuinely as she is also cousin of his fiancรฉe.
Then the major drama of Jโs mother unfolds, Tejas tries to kidnap her, Ani saves her, feels she is his responsibility but how much he knows her as a person. He doesnโt know whom she loves. So, he guesses she is love with Rahul for 230 episodes. In the meantime Jhanak is doing drama of running away with Tejas, then comes back as Ani got into accident, then marriage with groom uncle, but then J herself finds out it was Tejas as her groom. Then ad shoot misunderstanding with Aditya happens. And Jhanak never cleared that to Ani, he just asked her for forgiveness but she said how could he assume such bad thing about her character. Do you think it was enough for Ani to fully trust her. The man saw with his eyes Adi coming close to Jhanak in her room with alcohol in his hand. I donโt think any man who is madly in love with his woman can forget this scene. We see that he is very possessive and obsessive lover, he only wants to be solo man in Jโs life.
Then she goes to Kashmir for her exams. He goes after her because he thinks she was kidnapped, but the news comes that she is marrying Tejas and Ani cannot believe it. He goes to the marriage hall and confronts her saying: Did you really choose Tejas to be your husband? And what Jhanak does she says yes, I chose. But then because Ani requests her by begging with tears in his eyes please say th truth, she finally gives up and says the truth and he saves her. Then he wants to marry her to Rahul, because he thinks she loves Rahul.
J being pushed to her limits clears Rahul MU, but too bad as J also insults Ani saying she never accepted their relationship and marriage and she never had feelings for him (she lies of course). Ani falls sick, walks away asking J to forgive him. When she comes to his room he is sick with high fever and he asks her if she loves someone. She says that she is not allowed to fall in love and love anyone, and still he requests her to tell him as he really wants to know this. It is mega important for him. But Jhanak being Jhanak doesnโt tell him that she loves only him of course which creates one more MU in his head, as then what happens during the night when J give in to him, he wouldnโt even remember due to fever.
Therefore trust to such a beautiful woman like J, jiske piche so many aashiq like Rahul and adult men like Tejas, uncle groom, Adi are running, he will never trust her unless maybe she will clearly say she doesnโt not love any of them and she only loves him and she should say it explicitly without baby drama. And she should allow Ani to be a solo care taker of her, then maybe he will trust her. The question will she ever allow him?
About ayashi with Adi, unfortunately Jhanak allowed Adi in her room, so for me this sounds justified from Aniโs POV.
sorry to tag you all, but thought to share again my thoughts on Ani, and why I think his behavior still looks justified
