i agree. at least now it felt like a child pouring his heart out to her otherwise you'd usually see him just be formal with them.

Also, just a small thought here about Ehtisham. When his mother realised despite Ehtisham's public outburst, any anger that he felt was very momentary and he actually loves Zoya, she realised that any long term negative actions or words against Zoya (like what Nimi, the vile idiot, was thinking and planning) would backfire on her. Ehtisham's scene is very illuminating to its core too. When she says she regrets what had happened with Zoya, Ehtisham quietly and firmly asserts that she should express her regret directly to Zoya and not to him, confirming that he is not as easily manipulated as I originally thought he was. His mother then makes a whole case out of how he should not have been harsh to Zoya and daughters-in-law should be respected and in the same breath, asserting that how Zoya will her only real bahu and will be the only one to properly receive the status of DIL in her home while Sitara is just an add-on (despite the fact the fact that both Zoya and Sitara are her nieces, albeit from different sides of the family). This angers Ehtisham and really illuminates his character very well.

Ehtisham is not a bad person. He is mostly a decent person with some shades of grey like not necessarily wanting to stick his neck out or shouting at his wife in public and apologising to his wife in private. Prior to the defaming, he did visibly care about Sitara, playing the part of the nice older cousin-brother. However, at the same time, Sitara was, quite understandably, not in the list of his priorities. She is being fed, sheltered, educated and cared for and there is not much to think about her beyond perhaps buying her small and occasional gifts as an older brother figure and enquiring about her studies. He does not think bad of her like others in bad situations like the theft accusations but he does not really care about her like ensuring her emotional well being after the fiasco got over. Even after the public defaming, he expressed his doubts because Sitara didn't seem that kind of girl. It was only after the humiliation at the second wedding that he was furious at Salman's suggestion of the latter marrying Sitara. He does however warm up to it and clearly cares for his brother's 'happiness' and wants to ensure that things return to normal. Now, hearing that his mother is already planning to mistreat Sitara even before she and Salman are officially wedded angers him. He may not like the circumstances that Sitara is brought to their house as a bride but he still does care for her as an older cousin.

That "this is the best deal for you" is such a good and roundabout way of telling his mother that Sitara deserves better than his nikkamma brother. Had things never gone bad, Salman would not even have been an option for Sitara, much like Qasim himself who got rejected by her Taya, let alone being considered for her. People already do not want to give their daughter as a bride to Salman because of his reputation. Ehtisham knows that Sitara's education is going to be cut off soon, so frankly he does not have much hope for her to have a good life. The fact that his mother intends to make her life even more miserable and that too intentionally pisses him off because it shows that he is firstly still a decent human being unlike his siblings and secondly still cares for Sitara as a cousin albeit in a more diminished capacity than before.

Zoya is already hitting sixers so I hope Ehtisham comes through especially in the later arcs involving the family's redemption. He is present in BTS pics of Sitara-Salar wedding, so I am hoping that this family has some redeeming members and qualities left.

So many things to say for today's episode.

  • Sitara's family is officially no longer taunting her but straight up abusing her. I just know that these creeps are going to come back crawling to her once she and Salar are officially married.
  • I think Salar's dad is again a grey shade character. He loves Salar and given that the people around them in high society are vicious, he is right to be trying to provide him with a cloak of dignity. Salar may not value it, but right now, if he is officially handed over the business, he is being essentially handed over the power to choose his own bride which he would not have been able to do as just an ameerzada. Is his dad indirectly supporting him after overhearing Junaid's conversation? Who knows? But for once, I hope Salar uses his head.
  • Sitara is right not to trust Salar. I am not sure what her gameplan is, if she at all has one, but her entire dialogue about "log apni hi baaton ko jhootlatein hain" rings so true. People around her have been lying to her left, right and centre. Also, she is not wrong to point out to Salar who clearly is in love but is struggling to identify and define it. However, I wish that she actually used her brain. I would have said that she is pushing Salar to act indirectly by challenging him but given that she is going to threaten him with suicide, I really don't think she has a game plan. Now all I can do is trust Salar to actually kidnap Sitara from her wedding.
  • Zoya and Ehtishaam need to move out. They are happy together. It is just that Ehtisham's family is made up of snakes.

Ok so tomorrow’s promo..Sitara challenges him to do what he can. Looks like he will arrange his marriage to Sitara or at least get engaged and then get Faraar. Maybe back to Canada to finish his project. Sitara might fall in love but get her heart broken by him. Hope there isn’t a 3 year separation track while she finishes LLB etc.

Right now he is claiming love but he still doesn’t believe it’s love. Doubt he will accept till the very end. There’s a looong road ahead.

Also..Sahiba told people he ran from Canada because he killed an animal?? 😂😂

I do have to say awww. He wants the Hyderabad wali Sitara back. Mere saath baithe, mujhse baat kare, mere liye khana laye aur coffee banaye. Bhai sahab, these are all either biwi wale kaam ya as Junaid correctly pointed, ek bichare ke liye hamdardi wale kaam. smiley36

I don't see any other way out. Junaid told Saba and her parents that "don't worry. Wo usko kidnap nahin karega." The look of his parents' faces at that. You never know. Junaid did say in her second wedding episode "tumhe to usse shaadi karne ke kiye to nahi keh rahi hai" and the next thing we know he gatecrashes her wedding and demands to marry her. smiley37

Sometimes you have to sacrifice feminism to enjoy a good romance. smiley39

Also, Sahiba is an idiot. And so is her dad. Humiliating Sikandars in this way at their own party is going to backfire so bad when your daughter is desperate to marry that fellow. Sahiba is going to get a shock of her life when Salar's true reason behind returning actually comes out.

Also, Sitara is going to be saved by Salar from getting hit by the car. I think that is going to soften her stance a bit and pull down her ego. But ultimately, she is going to reject him plus the rain scene. I do want to know how far it takes for Salar to actually realise that he is in love. Not because everyone around him is classifying his actions as love. But because he actually knows that what he is feeling is love for her.

We are nearly done with all promo scenes after the above 2 scenes. No guessing what happens next

Makers, just please don’t let this be Salar’s revenge

No. Salaar will not kidnap sitara. This is pakistani show.. they won't show hero kidnapping heroine. If any kidnapping happens, then may be salaar will kidnap salman to stop the marriage. But i doubt it because sitara threatened him with suicide if salman won't come to her house for marriage. So i think may be salaar will expose salman and zohaib's truth or he will create ruckus at the wedding venue like he did previously.. because i think he only has these options left to stop the marriage.
