Achha, honestly speaking, I didn't mind Rubab giving money as a gift for cooking good food. It has been a tradition in my household, right from my grandfather's time that every time one cooks really good food or scores distinction marks in an exam, they're awarded with money. I have myself received thousands of rupees for cooking good food at different points of time.
Probably if Rubab could have explained in a better manner or probably if this reward was given by Iftikhar, Sharjeena wouldn't have mind it like she did. Plus the added baggage of Mustafa being aloof for a while, plus all the thakaan and stress added up to the insult, Sharjeena had enough. That's probably why everything went haywire, otherwise I found nothing wrong in rewarding Sharjeena for an exceptional dinner.
hania dissapoints 😭😭 I hope musjeena don’t and someone slaps the adeel mofo!
That he needs to, very quickly 😂

I agree about tradition but usually this is done by elders in the family. Like when a new bride cooks meetha for the first time, the elders of the house give her a gift.
However this was done by Rubab. Who is a Bahu just like Sharjeena is. So who was she to do that right ? Also she knows Sharjeena hates her guts so it was kind of below the belt. I’m still unsure if Rubab did this deliberately or not but Sharjeena felt it to be deliberate and I feel it was because it was coming from rubab and not an elder of the house.
only oldie old people give money.. but idk, people of same age giving money for cooking tho dosent happen in my family/ friends surroundings. And if the wife is feeling uncomfortable and mustafa also sensed the same.. tho kuch tho bol detaOriginally posted by: Aazeen02

I totally got your point, no denying it. Just like I said, if it was done by Iftikhar and not by Rubab.

I will not delve into the details that Rubab is the jethani and elder in relation with Sharjeena; precisely because they don't have such an equation. Again if it was a loving household, Sharjeena wouldn't have mind it at all and would have happily accepted the token of appreciation.
But it all comes down to the equation, and everything is wrong here.
Mustafa not reacting at the right time was wrong, no denying it. Sharjeena looked at him twice, if not speaking anything, had he given her a empathetic look, that would have been enough for Sharjeena to gracefully navigate. His silence was her cue to stand up for herself.Originally posted by: bluech96

As to oldies giving that reward, okay, yes, the elders of the house give that. But, I understood the sentiment from the pov of the tradition of my family, and I didn't take offense to it. It can be offensive to others. Plus, I get that when their personal equation is not correct, the reward coming from anyone would make it look bad.
yah mustafa atleast could have given an acknowledging look. But kair, sharjeena was tolerating tooo much shit for a woman of today.. she needed the Jatka that even when in love, self respect is supreme.Originally posted by: Aazeen02
