Talaq and Halala and escaping in the night had to have a toll on her so that outburst wasn't that uncharacteristic for me. I hope we will get to see more of what prompted them to decide to escape in the upcoming episode...

That makes sense. Even a cornered cat will bite back and so that might be the case with Aaliya. We should get more scenes on what prompted them to leave as that will give us a better idea into what both of them are thinking and feeling. Right now, their relationship status is basically unknown.

Haha..sounds fair..I also hope we get to see shabhir punished and stripped of his powers...

Not sure if Shabbir has any pleasant qualities though his mom thinks so. It is hard for me to understand the appeal of such a politician. The guy is so possessive and has no respect for religion or God or other people. He thought giving talaq was a joke and didn't matter as he just said it because he was angry. He didn't think it mattered because it wasn't said in a public setting. So rather than fear of God, it was fear of ammi that he obeyed. Otherwise, we can bet that he would have forced himself on Aaliya and treated her as his wife. In his mind, she is like his toy -- only he gets to decide when he does not want to play and if he does, she needs to come running. So not just angry but a whole host of other personality problems.

Neither his mom nor Shabbir seemed to care much for Aliya, they were more concerned about their so called image in the society...

That is what I don't get -- what image are they so worried about? He gave a divorce. Okay, don't people get divorced at all? Is that the shame?

How did they convince Aaliya to go along with this planned halala? Did they keep her locked up in the house for those 3 months and 10 days? Or was Aaliya compelled to stay out of some drama? Why would they want to keep Aaliya when he has given her a divorce?

While ammi seems bothered by Islamic laws, in her heart, she does not seem to have that real kind of reverence if she thinks she can use the edicts for her own benefit and please her son. So in that sense, she is not really religious or respect to God. So maybe like mother, like son. They want to be good in front of society and only their happiness matters.

When she was getting Aaliya dressed in the prior episode, she said we women have to do all sorts of things to keep the house -- it is like they still think there is a marriage even though there was a talaq. Neither can accept what happened.

As per what I understand is that the mother might be caring about log kya kahengey but for Shabbir it's more from political aspect. People will get to know eventually that he gave her talaq in anger. His anger issues will become public and that will put an end to his political career. Kyunki siasat mei har baat pe apa nai kho sakte. In every situation one needs to maintain his/her cool otherwise the person is doomed.

There was a scene in episode 1 shayad were Ch Zubair was sitting in a car & he said over the phone that Shabbir has the habit of fighting/making small issues into a bigger one.. something on similar lines (don't remember the exact dialogue). He will use this loophole via Aliya to exploit & destroy Shabbir completely

Divorce is still stigmatized in South Asia a lot and in political parties he would need to maintain his pristine image of a happy family man and all..

Ammi might have some fear of God but she is very wishy washy in her belief, otherwise she wouldn't be part of this planned halala..

I think both the mother and the son thought they could get away with it and the reality hit them when both Ibrahim and Aliya ran away and foiled their plans...

Whether it's one talk or three, girls should leave the house if their husband doesn't want them. What's this remarrying a guy who disrespected you to this extent smiley29

Her sil clearly does not want aliya to stay at their place but they are not financially well to fulfill the expenses of aaliya. Also i feel that shabbir's mother might be used to help them financially.

Yup in today's world, girls need to be educated, confident and independent to leave the toxic marriage/husband.

Hahahaha yup

But kehty hain jo hota hai achy ky liye hi hota hai. Cat's death indirectly helped Aaliya to come out of this toxic marriage.

I guess that binge watching this mini series in one go is better option because episode ended abruptly and now we have to wait for 7 days to know what will happen next.

It's a dark themed drama tho i am not fan of dark themes but here i feel that this theme is going well with the story.

Bilal has less dialogues in today's episode but his body language and expressions were to the point. Sabeena doing good job as Aaliya.

Also stand up girl mamu mami duo is back but here they seem greyish.

Overall a decent watch. Looking forward to next episode

Nice episode. Nice to see more shedding onto past interactions of Ibrahim and Aliya. As usual, Shabbir and his mother are trying to locate their whereabouts. Aliya's family is also shown and they are also oblivious to Aliya coming to their house with Ibrahim until Aliya discloses it them - quite visible that she is dissatisfied from Shabbir for quite long time like how she said before their divorce. Politically-driven Shabbir just seemed obsessed with using his politics as his advantage and as a backing for his ego.
