I was reading earlier initial part of series me pov of different ppl on forum abt episodes and in general also I hv found this doubt or misunderstood concept for ramayan abt brothers of ShriRam.....and I have found this undertone Many times,,,, so just sharing my pov here,,,can skip if someone finds it unnecessary as many have clarity over it ,but many probably don't have,so sharing the subtext b4 series and discussion on ramayan ends,,,lamba bhi hai to😁....
Whenever there is praise for Bharat,,as he is excellent character of ramayan,,at times ppl appreciate him(that's best) and then writes abt Lakshman as sort of comparing the two....Bharat himself is praise worthy character,,,he needs not to be praised with respect to Lakshman as comparison.
Bcz situation of both brothers was totally different.Lakshman was not part of any boon kaikeyi asked for, so he advised Ram acc to his pov and when Ram decided that he will surely go to vanvaas,,, valmiki ji states strongly,, Lakshman is such an incredible support,his personal opinion was different on this vanvaas thing as his pov was this is injustice to Ram who is rightful successor and didn't do any mistake for which he should be sent to Vanvas ,,,but final decision is in Ram's hand,which was to accept vanvas,now here he supports him in his decision(despite having diff personal opinion, ultimately follows Ram's opinion)and himself also decides to accompany in vanvaas....he states that rajya ho yaa vanvaas,,we will face it together.... Unconditional Support and selfless service attitude, didn't think twice & decides to share and decrease the pain and hardships of vanvaas for Ram Sita by serving them,leaving behind his mother, father,wife family, comforts of Ayodhya and even gave up on his sleep....
Bharat was that unfortunate soul, who got trapped in loop of misunderstanding started by his own mother,,,scolded and renounced on his mother ,and didn't accept throne,tried hardest to get back trio, lastly accepted responsibilities but not facilities of ayodhya,he served ayodhya as one vachan was taken for him,so acc to Ram also, if Ram fulfills 1 vachan of father ,2nd Has to be fulfilled by Bharat only as 2 of boons were asked for these 2, Ram and Bharat....he accepted to serve the ayodhya ppl Bharat Shatrughna both served Rajya plus Bharat also gave Justice to his brotherhood as living a vanvaasi life in nandigram, and waited for Ram to return and take his rightful place.Its almost impossible to remain unattached with throne but this great soul,Bharat, is respected for what he did.
Would the situation opp for them,Bharat would have accompanied Ram at all costs to do serve his elder brother like Lakshman did,, if this conspiracy involved Lakshman to become king,he would have unaccepted throne like Bharat.
So both are special in their own ways....& one special is never compared with other special😀.
So we should praise them for whatever they did in whichever situation they were as a whole and don't compare anyone with eachother bcz all had different situations,,
I know this type of comparison comes only in these 2 bcz both shares same relationship of brother with Ram,specially when Bharat is mentioned... nobody when writes abt Lakshman compare him with Bharat...bcz ppl think Bharat is underrated....but Lakshman has got glory for what he Has done and All who knows ramayan know that Bharat in small part he comes, shines as one of the best character in ramayan,,so he also gets his glory which he deserves,,,,
Ultimately if we think how should be brothers of Maryada purshottam ShriRam??These three and their sacrifices are answers to it that such are the brothers of Maryada purshottam ShriRam.
We should learn from each of them and try to implement in daily life whatever we can imbibe from them.
