The revenge part is more connected to his mother...Yash knows very well that something in the past has happened which has hurted his mother to the core and he is a single parent child so him being so rude about mahajans even not knowing the whole story is ig justifiable from my opinion
Actually what I have seen of Yash so far and I may be wrong but he is amalgamation of all the characters in vanshaj.

And she isn't even going for revenge. She is just protecting Mahajans. Usual stuff. Same we know kidhar Jaa raha hai. But the show's wacky history makes me think kuch non cliche dikhaye. Of Course kuch lifted hi hoga but not much explored in ITV. Dekhte hai.
