I believe old songs were more lyrical..

They had restrictions regarding musical arrangements.. electric instruments and all..hence the lyrics and singer were on the front ...Now the musical arrangements are soo loud that they are overpowering everything.... lyrics or singer..

Older songs..you discover a new meaning on every listening....but newer become monotonous...after sometime

Yaa exactly.. that’s y I still listen to these old songs.. so meaning ful .. that u feel lost in that.. & very soothing to hear 👂..& singers were also melodious.. now they do is just for trend & then thousand reels on that then forget it 🙄
