You described Appu Di so movinglyI have often not connected to Ani’s past trauma in the way some of you describe perhaps because I haven’t watched all of Jhanak’s episodes
I sense a phlegmatic relationship between Ani and his parents but I haven’t pondered its depth tbh. In ITv, the toxicity is usually at an extreme level so if it’s understated in the script, it goes unnoticed except if you watch with a keen eye.
The show is lucky to have a great cast. Today all had an opportunity to shine. Appu Di especially.

Yes... it doesn't explicitly tells on your face about Ani's childhood trauma or PTSD..
But they have given hints here and there regarding it...but have not explored it..
I don't know why....may be they are not educated enough to show it with sensitivity....or may be someday in future...

This time a monologue from Ani is so needed- showing his helplessness and frustration. Hope the makers do so. Varna aise toh bina matlab ke monologues bhar bhar ke dete hain. Complete package episodes are going on, way better than dinner table conference
