Milk is an integral part of whey protein. During cheese manufacturing, milk is coagulated and casein whey is separated.

Casein contributes 80% whereas whey contributes 20% to the composition of milk.

Whey protein is a mixture of globular proteins isolated from them.

Whey is full of nutrition and should not be discarded .

Where possible it should be used in cooking other dishes or gravies .
