This is why I said it’s enjoyable but it’s become a fantasy now lol

We love that she thinks outside the box and we enjoy the moment.

But can you say Meenu is real and relatable? Not at all. Her struggles are real, but solutions aren’t. I want there to be some kind of middle ground but I don’t think that’ll happen. Writers purpose is not reality but to use the character to push norms, however far fetched it might “look.”

Everyone wants the family planning theme to click with the audience but some are finding it irresponsible and actually doing more harm than good to the eyes of the “common man”, some are finding the directness and boldness refreshing. Both are understandable takes smiley20 Baat humari hai hi nahi, hum tou enjoy ker rahe hain, baat yeh hai keh someone watching this in the village - another Meenu - is this the way it’s gonna click with her? or she gonna be like Meenu’s classmates going hawww hayeeee at this? smiley36 Because writing didn’t ease into this topic at all like imo it should have. Hum tou accept aur digest ker lain ge but what about target audience ?

It is not easy and this drama won't change anything, dramas don't have the ability to do it but it is starting a discussion

Like we are discussing if a woman should or should not say it, ultimately it depends on temperament and nature of the individual

Some women find it way too forward and some resonate with it, both are correct. What do we do? We accept both and work for both

This drama is in discussion and getting praise so the propose has been partially achieved.

That's so true but I am glad that meenu has guts to atleast speak.

Otherwise girls are not even allowed to speak.

They added this for the people who would think its not digestible. To challenge the norms. Their target audience is anyone who gets the message and pass on. It applies to all. The motive is sawaal uthana. That is clear from start.

Meenu was so traumatised by the difficult birth of her friend that she wanted to make sure that doesn't happen to her..and yeah wasn't the whole point about clearing things up before the marriage so you don't end up in a situation where you have to go through things that don't want to..

yeah the society is patriarchal and doesn't expect women to speak up and are shunned when they do... but Meenu defies norms and cinematic liberties aside there are women like that in real life too.. women who walk the talk..
