This is quite true honestly, not just in context of Hasmukh but in general aajkal ke buzurg.

There are exceptions of course, but most of them be like, achcha ye naya laye, hume to bataya hi nahi, hume to pucha hi nahi, ye decision liya aur hume bataya nahi.

And best is their cribbing and unhappy behavior, kabhi khush nahi hote, har baat pe muh chadhake baith jao, almost like bina baat ke (sirf gharwalon ke saamne), bahar apne age ke logon se milke wohi same carefree happy behavior 😂

Chahe khud ne apne time mein full on enjoy kiya ho, but how dare aajkal ki generation plan a holiday, go for a vacation, kharcha, zimmedariya, ghar ke kaam, upcoming events, sab ki list bahar aa jati hai aur kuch nahi to ye suddenly bimar ho jaate hain😂

Have observed similar stuff around me, even in some close relatives have seen this. And it might sound rude or disrespectful but jab tak dabte raho, ye hota rehta hai, jab ek bar jawab do, dobara koi kuch nahi kehta.
Best is to become Gandhari with such Dhritrashtras 😂

Imagine 3-4 generations in the same house in India.

Assuming the first generation is the first generation of Independent India. They are the ones who, I am sorry to say, were the most privileged but behave the most entitled. The truth is, they never were part of the struggle or sacrifices that their parents did for the Independence. They were the first consumers of Independence and the most colonized in mindset.

The second generation of Independent India were the strugglers. They were fed too many tales of the sacrifice that their parents may not have directly made but were expected to carry the bastion of the family by themselves with NO help from the previous generations but a LOT of responsibilities. During their youth, they did not have the time or resources to reap benefits nor did they have the rights and privileges that their parents never relinquished. This was perhaps the period of salvaging what was left and hence the will to change and revolutionize the colonial mindset and change society slowly faded in trying to make ends meet.

The third generation of Independent India had seen the struggles of their parents and somewhere harbour a natural bitterness towards the first generation as they have come to realise how their parents were actually treated. This is the generation that perhaps reignited the revolutionary mindset with the will to take risks and bring about change and the diminishing colonial influence added fuel to fire.

The 4th generation (current) of Independent India is perhaps the least influenced by colonial India and dares to step out and not take any nonsense. They respect their parents' humble beginnings and struggles but will not back down from showing them the mirror and bring about a change whether anyone likes it or not. If this is controlled (within sustainable limits), harbored and properly directed, this is the generation to celebrate.
