A woman is not only a human being, but she also represents Maa Durga in many aspects. Every woman should strive to find Durga within her, which each one of us carries within us. Unfortunately, the problem is that we hardly realize it. We are powerful, courageous, strong, determined, dedicated, and incredible, just like Maa Durga.

A woman gives immense importance to peace, just like the goddess Maa Durga. Every woman plays a vital role in maintaining peace within the household and society as a whole. She embodies tenderness and beauty and is considered the true goddess of elegance and simplicity. Women are multi-tasking and play various roles in life, such as being a daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She --in this context refers to creative ideas. Creative ideas are often seen as an illusion, a shadow, and the ultimate truth all at once.!! Women are the epitome of love, strength, beauty, courage, patience, forgiveness, fearlessness, kindness, intelligence, and everything. However, sometimes women neglect the inner Durga within themselves!! smiley19

While reading this post, I questioned myself, whether I possess these qualities?! I gazed at my reflection and suddenly transformed, becoming a confident and self-assured woman. It felt as if Maa Durga was reminding me that I possessed some of her divine qualities, just like every woman does, you, me and every woman. smiley27This realization brought tears to my eyes and gave me the strength, courage, and willpower to face any challenge.

I have been thinking lately that I share some qualities with my mother. Like her, and like every woman I know, there is a trace of Maa Durga in all of us!! Every woman has been blessed with 2 hands to perform 20 activities at once. Women are the backbone of every family, managing household chores, cooking, cleaning, taking care of children, working on their laptops or smartphones, and protecting their loved ones from negativity. They pray for their families, take care of family members, and maintain strong relationship with friends and relatives. It's impressive how women can accomplish numerous tasks with just two hands.smiley10

Women are like Divine power, fighting our own battles every day to protect ourselves from the male-dominated society's ego, different types of crime, ignorance, intolerance, discrimination, and injustice.

Every woman faces injustice, dishonesty, and cruelty every day, which is like the Mahishasura demon. However, just like Maa Durga, women have been blessed with more than 20 weapons like love, honesty, patience, kindness, beauty, courage, self-confidence, and strong willpower. Every woman is like her divine mother, and it is time to realise the worth of the girl child and the value of a woman. We should try to see a part of Maa Durga in every woman and within ourselves!

Every girl is an embodiment of power, yet grounded, determined and dedicated, emotionally intelligent, strong and fearless, fierce and risk-taking, wise and successful.

The word 'Durga' derives from the root word 'durgam' and represents fearlessness. If we remain steadfast in our convictions in the face of adversity, no matter how big or small it is, we can cultivate a powerful inner strength. The stronger we are within, the more fearless we appear to those around us. smiley4

@BOLD:

Why should they strive to be like Goddess Durga only? smiley5
Will they not be women if they strive to be like some other goddess like Parvati or Lakshmi or Saraswathi?

Let me refer to the navdurga roop while replying to this:

Pratamam Shailputri: Daughter of the mountains, forever abundant with her flora and fauna, and nurturing all those who reside in her vicinity. Being of service to loved ones just like a daughter in whatever measure possible is the trait we can imbibe from here (not necessary domestically, even being the breadwinner counts!)

Dwitiya Bhramacharini: This phase was all about dedication to win her Mahadev. Not once did Devi falter, not once did she let anyone dictate the outcome of her penance. Just like that, we should have the दृढ़ निश्चय (dedication) to attain the goals we set for ourselves.

Tritiya Chandraghanteti: When Mahadevi marries her Mahadev, she becomes his ardhangini, and is equally responsible for any future action and decision (sukh mein, dukh mein, shanti mein, pralay mein). Similarly, we should aim to take equal responsibility in our relationships, for the good and the bad.

Kushmanditi Chaturtekam: This adhyay refers to the cosmic egg from which Mahadevi emerged and created all the celestial and non celestial beings. Giving birth to a new world, a new realm, a new form. As women, we have been given the power to bring a new living being into existence, and thus, it is also in our hands to shape it with our sensibilities.

Pancham Skandmateti: Mother of Karthikeya, the six-headed commander and war god. As a mother, she is firm in protecting her son and devotees (who are symbolically her children) with equal fervor. There are many tales to prove how Devi Parvati was nishpaksh (fair) when she came into decision-making, even when it involved her children, however she was also their most fierce protector. Our takeaway from this is that while we love dearly and are gentle beings, we are capable to be their pillar of strength too.

Shashtam Katyayeniti: This is the warrior form of the Devi who slayed Mahisasur. She is known to remove suffering of any kind. In the same way, in our life too, we should always aspire to face our adversities fearlessly.

Saptam Kalratriti: This is the roop who became so involved in removing the pain and suffering that she became the cause for destruction herself, with a stern warning that if you beget the saumya roop of the Devi and disrespect it, the rudrani roop of the same is merciless will not spare you. This lesson is also repeated throughout other historic tales in the Bhagavad Geeta and other religious text sources. From this, we can learn how it is important as women to stand up against injustice and disrespect.

Mahagauri Chashtamam: The symbol of benevolence and feminity. She brings balance to the world by blessing the good ones with carrots, and punishing the bad ones with sticks/lessons. She is also the embodiment of Annapurna (the giver of food and nourishment) She guides us similarly to keep our thoughts and mentality pure and to be fair to everyone.

Navmi Siddhidhatriti: The one who bestows virtues or siddhis. he one who bestows virtues or siddhis. This is the phase at which a woman has gained a lot of knowledge and understanding, and should seek to share it with others, while also learning from them and their experiences. We should imbibe from her how to free ourselves from the arrogance of being knowledgeable and be able to teach others, help others, correct others with immense humility.

If we even take 10% of what the Navdurga symbolises in her human form, we will live very fulfilled lives.
