Wahaj is not a Feroze or Danish yet who can guarantee numbers. Also Haseeb Hassan shows don't tend to be big hits.

On Radd, I just want to say that Hiba may not have a strong online fd but she is very popular with ground audiences. I remember her show Tere Ishq Ke Naam (which was sold on her name as her costars were Zavyar and Usama) often led Mein in TRPs. And TIKN was not a really good show like Radd. So a Hiba show getting good TRPs is not attributable only to content but also because Hiba has good ground audience pull.

You need engaging promos and a banger OST to get audience be interested enough in your show to check it out. The first 2 episodes need to hook those audiences in or you will lose half of them forever. After that whoever is left, retention will be based on word of mouth and content.

Agreed about Haseeb. Although you can see Wahaj’s Mein numbers /TRPs and compare them to Feroze’s Khumar on Geo and Danish’s recent shows like ReJ.

As for Green, a lot of its shows get critical acclaim like KP and now GM. If you go and see the views and TRPs it wasn’t so great for KP either.

I think channel matters a lot. And then comes the names and type of content. Look at ZPKB. It’s got a huge star Sajal but it’s not getting a lot of views on YT either. Perhaps content is the issue there although I don’t agree to that. So overall a lot of factors go in. But SMD holds a solid chance for me because of 2 huge factors. The channel and Wahaj. That’s it. Baki how many remain to follow the show is gonna be based on content. EMA, if present in the story, will affect mass appeal a LOT though. I don’t mind it personally but it’s a delicate subject and it’s dealt with responsibly if that’s indeed the story.

10M views is like the floor for Danish and Feroze. Both ReJ and Khumar were worse than Mein (they were just so boring and looked cheap). They also did not have a famous FL like Ayeza. There were also no poster shoots, lead couple PS, promotions like Ayeza did for Mein. Yet views were around 10M per episode.

Mein was Wahaj at peak hype + Ayeza star power + SM hype+ promotions + a more engaging show. But these factors together still gets you views that Danish and Feroze get at minimum for their very mid shows. I mean, look at Jaan Nisar. With Hiba as an added factor and return of Daniba, episodes easily get 15-16M views every week and the leads haven't even met yet.

For SMD, given the channel, genre, Wahaj's current hype, star cast, director and his past record, SMD could get JeJ #s if it works (respectable but nothing extraordinary). It may get into Mein range in terms of views if the content hits it out of the park with audiences.

These shows didn’t have a famous FL? Yar don’t just completely belittle Neelam ki star power For some reason her shows do really well. Both her last shows have done much better than any recent Ayeza shows. So she has the ground hype like Hiba does for sure. Asal popularity woh hoti hai

I’m more inclined to contribute Mein to Wahaj than Ayeza because JeJ wasn’t able to match up despite having superstar filmstar HAA + return of Pyaare Afzal duo. Mein did better.

So he does have the pull. Now let’s see how much Geo will factor in and how much Haseeb will factor in. You are right that it may be at par with Mein and maybe be more of a critical success but not a crazy hit. Let’s see
