Not easy to move on

People keep saying why Shruti is not moving away from toxic anuj and adhya and starting life again

When anupama cannot leave shahs after 26 years of abuse or anuj could not forget anupama after 26 years of leaving college

How can you expect Shruti to just pack bag in 3 months and leave like nothing happened in life?

Anupam ahd her mom, brother, 3 kids yet she broke down after knowing vanraj betrayal

So how Shruti must be feeling knowing anuj has betrayed her after using her 5 years

Live in like marraige only not some game or college dormitory stay that you can move on in months

Shruti has no one so tougher to move on

And she was ready to move but anuj made her stay taking adhya name why? Why he never allowed her to leave?

Hes a two timing cheater he wants shruti to take care of adhya till time adhya accepts anupama as her mother like maid than tata bye bye

When ppl you consider as family betray you be it husband or boy friend or live in partner (which anuj was to Shruti last 5 years) its touch to accept and move on

The thing is, Shruti is scared of being ALONE. She has no one to call her own. The only friend she perhaps made turned out to be her fiancé’s ex-wife who has been romanticing her fiancé right under her nose and would rather stay away.

She postponed the wedding asking Anuj to decide first about what he wants, she called off the alliance and went to India with Adhya only, after she discovered the truth about Anuj-Anupama.

The truth bit her hard when she was in India and had an emotional breakdown. She is now trying to collect the pieces left to build what she believes will be her family.

I am surprised she stayed back even after recovery while Anuj's plan is still on.

I think, she would have certainly moved on had her family been there.

While it is the right thing to do to leave with Adhya, as you rightly mentioned, it is not easy especially when she has no family to fall back on.

Shruti is a pretty and educated woman. Plus, she is in America. There nobody judges anybody based on their past relationships. She will definitely get a better guy. And she can continue to co-parent Aadya without marrying Anuj.

Moreover, they are just staying under one roof. So far, there have been no references to physical intimacy between Anuj and Shruti.

Also, I mentioned this in another post too...may be it is Sukirti's acting or Shruti's character graph. Neither the loss of her parents nor her inability to conceive is invoking any kind of sympathy for Shruti, at least in me! I just want her to get out of the messed up lives of Anuj and Anupama.

But it is itv...and a show which puts down working & educated women to glorify their non-working & uneducated counterparts. If the show was truly about women empowerment Shruti would have gracefully walked out, Kavya would have left toxic Vanraj, and Anupama would have become an established chef/dancer without experiencing a massive downfall!

It's not about judging anyone.

Man is a social animal, right. A Human yearns for a family, a companionship, someone to call their own.

At 20s, even mid 30s, one is still at an age of knowing you can fight the world by oneself. Slowly, ALL one wants is stability, assurance and a companion to share a life with. That is the cycle of life.

In Shruti's case, it may be safe to assume that had her parents been alive, she would have walked out on Anuj after everything that happened. Her parents would have given her the confidence. Perhaps, that was how she stayed away one knowing the truth about Anuj-Anupama.

Ofcourse that is not to say, Shruti cannot find someone otherwise, hell no and it is absolutely true that she SHOULD WALK OUT on Anuj even now.

ALL that is being said is, it is not easy to walk out as one ages.

That is why respect is due for people like Shruti and Barkha, may be even Rakhi who were denied a choice by destiny.
