The image of India is powerful. Makes people safe. This will be tarnished and diminished with such misuse. People should identify where they are from and let law and order work.

Raisi brutally repressed Iranian people for decades. Oversaw the extrajudicial killings of thousands of political prisoners. Some of the worst human rights abuses on record, including against women, occurred during his presidency.

It’s one thing to offer official condolences and move on; it’s another for Modi to be “deeply saddened” over Raisi’s “tragic demise”. If Modi really meant it, there’s something wrong with him. If he didn’t mean it, which I believe is the case, he should stop putting out fake tweets which serve no purpose.

To declare a day’s state mourning as a “mark of respect” for the butcher of Tehran is outrageous!

Long ago when I worked back in India, I had a chance to meet this doc in a business meeting. A meeting with him was enough to leave you spellbound tbh. Widely accepted as one of the finest doctors in the world.

This cannot be faked - what he is describing ...
