We as a third party might think what Ab is doing and praying for VM does not make much sense. But the answer lies in the episode when Ar went to hostel to bring her back. He clearly said he always feels guilty that his parents marriage suffered due to him and now he cannot pardon himself if they break up because of him ( he was the one who married Ab and brought her here ). So whatever Ab is doing the main reason she loves Ar and does not want him to suffer more wrt his parents relationship status. And she ofcourse thinks her love is one way so does not yet realize that her going away from his life will have any other impact on Ar’s life. So whatever ahe is doing it is for wellbeing of Ar mainly.
