Maybe she is alive and lost all her memories and living as a patient in psychiatric ward. Ab will find her and bring her back, then slowly she'll start regaining her memories and so on.

I feel when they got separated madhav was not aware of her pregnancy. He got married to vidya & moved on . Had rohit, Later, learned about armaan, tried to get in touch with her, which made dadi furious as she saw vidya's married life getting ruined.

She tried to separate them again & then something happened & dadi is trying to hide it from family. (At the end all 4 of them needs to be whitewashed).
