I agree it was way too much in the first show. I had raised my voice there as well.

Here we did not get as many scenes which I am grateful for. Objectification for either genders is wrong.

See the thing is that there was a real solid reason for the abuse. It was a matter of death of someone she loved with her whole being. In Imlie ka head, he was the villian of her life in that scene. As far as the slap goes, that was totally uncalled for. Like you, I am annoyed with the lack of a sincere unconditional apology from Imlie. All ITV shows now is a dilly dally male lead on the verge of committing adultery, sister’s ruining their families and siblings for their own selfish needs, multiple marriages/secret marriages or affairs in the name of drama. Most of the wrong doings don’t have follow up consequences. This is something I would not enjoy watching kitna bhi engaging drama ho.

The thing is misogynistic and regressive tracks get trp so all other shows follow with the same kind of toxic stories. In Imlie there are certain plots where these things are shown but still it is not as bad.

There can never be any justification for showing the female lead touch her face to the male leads legs. Touching feet of someone you are married to (in a happy marriage) can still be fine as long as done out of free will.

@Red. i am not annoyed I am livid right now seeing Imlie's faltu akkad.

@Green. Even i don't watch leads with multiple marriages and all. I am in the same category. I didn't follow Imlie 1 with first ML regularly.

@Blue. I disagree a bit here. Most of the time these tracks don't work. It works only with the victory over regressive soch. I will say it again. We have to understand how is a regressive track shown, in a good way or in a bad way. If bad things are shown as bad then audience shouldn't have problem in watching.

@Violet. Absolutely no justification. Did not justify that action for a single time as well. Just like I did not justify what they showed in Imlie.

If I see this from Imlie ka stand point, she lost the love of her life by one action done by Surya (even if it was unintentional). The consequences of his actions was faced by only her so I feel her actions made sense.

These are not tracks, these are plots, the whole story is based on these. Jhanak ko le lo ya YRK ya Ghum ko le lo. It's fine to have a past or an ex but there is no way you can show the male leads dilly dally and chose the ex over the present and still get a happily ever after with the female lead. So there are definitely some things that are problematic in these shows. Unfortunately all shows have similar plots - 2 friends or sisters falling for the same man, man marrying someone out of majboori and bringing her in as a maid while he is engaged to someone else.

And I do think that she has written her apology on the cast. Which surya will probably see.
and also for her mistake, she is still getting pulled up by the reddy ladies. They have literally called even bulbul’s in-laws are destroying bulbul ka rishta. Upar se mami is disowning and bad mouthing her as well.
