It's his disappointment that his assessment of who Jhanak is being disproven currently by her actions and words (stupid acc to him) and he feels so let down, used and cheated. Hence his words.... all he has to do is have the assumption maybe she also means something than what she speaks? How her eyes and the tears in them have their own words... Both just need to be receptive to the other instead of wallowing in their own assumptions.
