Her old interviews are a revelation. I love watching those. So much wisdom in them and to think she was only in her late 20s then. Compare that to the interviews of BW stars today in their 20s-30s. There is such a stark difference.

Her infamous bathing scene in Chakra

She first defended the scene saying it was needed for the story, later expressed regret saying it was unnecessary but I disagree. I believe the scene was needed, it shows how poor women living in the slums have no privacy for the most basic things in life

She's one of my favourites.

She would become the character she was playing. You couldn't tell it was an actor not that real person. smiley32

Smita patil's range is insane. It's really difficult to match her whenever she is onscreen. Such a powerful performer she is. It's an insult to her legacy if we compare her to the current lot.
