Alia More Successful Than Kareena? - Page 2

Both are doing a pretty good job and these two are best in their work. May be Alia has played some roles extensively good than Kareena. But we should also consider that Kareena is like a veteran in this industry.

Kareena

Kareena is very overrated. Her only success in her early years was K3G which was only a success because it relied on SRK, Kajol, Big B, Jaya, and Hrithik. I think I read her next 8 or 11 films after K3G all flopped. The only reason she and Esha Deol are not in the exact same situation now is because Kareena got lucky with Jab We Met. Since then, I haven't seen her do any roles that are really all that great. She's relied on item songs that flopped and working with Khans in films where she has little to no substantial role, but she can claim she was part of it for box office success.

I hate to say it but I honestly think Alia is the better actress especially comparing her state of career now to where Kareena was back then.

One thing they definitely have in common is both are deeply insecure. Seeing that video someone posted here about how Kareena was bragging about how Heroine is better than Fashion and how she'll win all the awards (and she didn't win a single one unlike PC) just showed what a deeply insecure woman she is, competing with PC's superior performance and film. Alia is cut from the same cloth there.

Comparing anyone’s success with Alia is challenging because Alia’s success and career is actually manufactured. And her PR is super aggressive. Kareena too has an aggressive PR and her career survived all the lows it had due to her privilege. But I believe her success is more organic relative to Alia’s.

Alia’s so called talent is highly dependent on the script and director. I suppose the same can be said of Kareena too. But Kareena has screen presence which Alia just does not. Kareena has also shown maturity and calmness with age and doesn’t make stupid statements anymore. We’ve yet to see that in Alia, and yes she’s much younger than Kareena but she’s actually getting worse, so it will be interesting to see what she’ll be like at 44.

Bottom line is we can all go back and forth about talent and stardom and all that, but Alia will never be able to shed the fact that KJo handed her everything. Kareena despite being BFF’s with KJo was able to maintain that independence which did cost her a lot in the beginning (KHNH) but today she has credibility which Alia does not 🤷🏽‍♀️

Kareena started performing better in her second inning. Can’t compare that yet as Alia is not there yet.

Kareena,Katrina,Sara,Aish all are hailed as some great actress and pitted against Alia.Eulogies are written on them in comparison.

They were awful in most of their films.

I don't rate Alia but those comments are going way too far.

This is what my biggest fear is those who buy into the PR machinery. I am amazed sometimes at how it works.

Is it that easy to fool people? How can people not differentiate between good acting & bad acting?

When all the roles are being given to one person. Specifically roles in big films and no other actresses of her age are given opportunities, audiences are forced to accept that individual. This is what happened the last few years. 2023 was different because it was a comeback for Bollywood which is also why now people are not blindly tolerating Alia and her husband the way they were before. Her Filmfare stunt was nothing new but this year people could see through it in ways they couldn't before.
