Even the writers don't know at the point if Anuj Shruti will get married but getting angry a minor child for what ?
That she wants her pops married or that she wants to keep away from the woman who promised to be her mother na then abandoned her ?
Is that the job of a 12-something? Do they teach "save parents from exes" in NY school districts now?
From whatever I have learned and experienced, it is the adult's job to deal with their own shit and protect the child's wellbeing? Anyhow.

So you're telling me a kid has no right to tell their parent if the parent's bf or gf or ex makes them uncomfortable?
You do realise a kid is a person too? With emotions and thoughts not an object. If the person their parent brings to the house is going to be part of the family and interact with the kid, doesn't the kid have the right to express how they feel about said person?

Thank you!
Even a kid, in it's own way, makes it's annoyance towards an uncomfortable person or situation known. Try hurting the parent or even raise a voice and even the kid will keep the person at bay in it's own harmless way.

Tell them xyz makes them feel uncomfortable? Sure. Tell them that they will only "share" the said parent with an approved list of romantic partners and then plan, pressurise and make it their life's business to get them married? No. You do know that a wife and daughter are two very different things and they don't "share" a person between them? Whose job is to set those boundaries with a child?
Have you ever heard of parents taking decisions centering their kids' safety instead of letting them play god with two adults' life? It is Anuj's job to safeguard Adhya from a person she feels unsafe with rather than Adhya's job to oust his ex from his life. That is parental failure on his part not that a kid being obsessed with her father's love life and taking decisions on his behalf is being appropriate or even emotionally mature. It is not her job.
She is too young to even have the birds-and-bees talk but yeah she should determine that her 50 y/o father must marry Shruti— y'know that sociolegal institution which involves sexual compatibility, family planning, emotional compatibility, financial security, healthcare and even housing— because the kid is a person too. Have you ever heard of a thing called "age-appropriate topic"?
