I really liked the idea of jeet and soni in the beginning...but I honestly dnt think they shud be 2gether now..Its just weird they just keep gettin married within the family..they should hav Durga begging to have soni back as a DIL...but doesn't get her so she can hav sum regret....This has been the track so far...

1)Veer and soni's sis

2)Jeet likes Soni

3)Mahi likes Jeet (but ends up with his cuz)

4)Veer and Soni

well i like the idea- they originally liked each other. And its better to get married to your husbands brother (who will most likely leave cherry) then some random guy who doesnt even know your kid or have any blood relation with the child. (sonia is preganant right? lol havent watched the show in awhile)

=)

I have seen in some Hindi movies where they show that in Punjab and some places in North India, the husband's brother will marry the wife when she becomes a widow, so that he will continue to provide support for her and her kids who are also his blood - some kind of a tradition, the way it was shown... That the in-laws wanted to keep the woman as the DIL (bahu) of their family...

It's a tradition that is not very popular anymore...except in rural punjab...usually the socioeconomic status is also low.

The custom of devar marrying bhabhi to support her and her kids is called chadar daalna.

It was shown in the movie :Ek Chadar Maili si.....starring Rishi and Hema in devar bhabhi roles and based on a famous novel by Rajinder Singh Bedi.
